How old were you when you owned your first gun?

Bb gun 8.
.22 rifle 10.
Shotgun 12.

I still have the rifle and shotgun and they will be my son's in a few years.

BB gun age 8
20 gauge single shot age 10
22 rifle age 11
20 gauge pump at 12

Still have everyone of them but the BB gun.

Grew up shooting dad's guns. Bought my own 12 gauge Wingmaster when i was 16.

Had a bb gun growing up but don't remember what age. 8 or 9 maybe.

Bought my first 12 gauge at age 16 when I started deer hunting.

"owned"?? .22 rifle at the age of 16 which now belongs to my son. First handgun and shotgun at the age of 22. Didn't consider myself a late starter though since I could "borrow" rifles or shotguns from friends or relatives at a much earlier age. My son has owned guns earlier than I did but only had access to them when I was with him until a later age (they were all locked and I had the keys).

There is a difference between owning a gun and really "owning" a gun.

Good taste in guns at an early age. The Wingmaster is a great shotgun. Mine actually was mfg when I was 16 although I bought it used much later. It still is my favorite shotgun.

A couple of BB and very nice Crossman CO2 pellet gun around 10-11 though I used to sneak out my Dad's ancient BB gun before that when they were gone.
Wanted a .22 (the now legendary Nylon 66) but could never convince my Mom - father was neutral.
So bought first weapons later in life probably around 30 when purchased first military surplus bolt action rifles.

Did you own it, or was it issued?
