Offensively, use TEs, run outside the tackles and mix in some QB draws. Ground and pound early between the tackles plays to Nebby's strengths.

Defensively need to keep D-line fresh with some rotation, play tighter coverage and mix in some blitzes.

Coaching, Ferentz needs to stay with what got us here and not be predictable and go into his normal shell.

I'm friends with Kirk, so I'll let him know what he needs to do. Thanks Troh.
Open for discussion but really don't want to see the ground and pound inside the tackles tomorrow and that is what I'm expecting which plays into the Fuskers strengths

Of course. The 11-0 Hawkeye coaching staff had limited understanding of Nebby strengths and weaknesses.

3 posts since 2001? Just waiting for the right opportunity to drop some knowledge?

Agree on tighter coverage. Would like to send Jewell on some blitzes. Wadley should see 10+ touches with stretch plays, counters, and toss plays.

Let's not act like this coaching staff has always coached to their own strengths. IE last years quarterback. This staff has seemed clueless at times during the last few years.

Use to post a lot on HawkeyeNation usually hang back. Seeing the coaching staff starting to become conservative which is a concern. The coaching staff has lost plenty of games we could have won in the past 10 plus years including some great time management and linebacker on WRs.

That's why people participate on boards like this. The coaching staffs are paid millions to make decisions and dummies like us are smart enough to know they screw up. Otherwise, why would our opinions matter?

And watch we break a long run that starts between the tackles..........

Run outside the tackles huh? Hmmmm, so we should go away from what has been working all year? Good strategy. And QB draws? Good thinking. Let's not allow the RB's to run up the middle but you want an injured Beathard to run some QB draws? I think you are not too bright.

They have two stud DT, we have a good line. They are weaker on the DE. Wadley really helped bring a different dimmension to our run game, outside the the tackle running. We have been successful in both areas.

QB draw, or improvision will work depending on the health of Beathard.

Hitting the TE on seam passes will work.

Sure we need to mix it up, weather will be an issue so may have to run more and right up the middle, in my opinion, isn't going to do it unless we also use Wadley and others off tackle.
