Husker Board

As they should be. Stewart Mandel had a great tweet last night

Everyone wants it to work out for Riley....he's a great guy, but the results just aren't there. Time will tell. Nebraska has to get physical and dominant on the lines (and we used to write the book on that subject) before anything will ever be won

Oh, it has been that bad, too many times. Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, and NDSU...and the handful of ISU losses.

This is why I haven't been flogging the dead horse Nebraska rode in on yesterday.

We've been there. Too many times.

Today's Omaha World Herald, buzzards circling Eichorst's roadkill...

Thats some funny shit right there? I especially like the part to the right where they have Nebraska's 2017 schedule, and at the bottom after playing Iowa on black Friday they have the Dec 2nd BIG championship game listed as the last game on the schedule. Keep Dreaming shuckers!

Or they hired the only guy that would go to that god forsaken place after firing a 9 win coach. Coaches aren't stupid. They see unrealistic expectations and an asshole for an AD, no thanks.

Isn't this "angry" AD the same one who took a cheap shot at Iowa when announcing Bo Pelini's firing? Mike Riley has class and is a good human being, but the hire isn't working out and this pompous AD has painted himself into a corner by recently extending Riley.

I agree. I won't post on an isu or husker board but the only time I will read is before Iowa game or after bad loss for good laugh. One makes you realize every board has some deranged non rational thinking fans and secondly Makes up for the posters who come over here and act like idiots and post garbage, granted not all of them are like that but see quite a few of them. Personally think kind of a dbag move on any fans who post crap on other teams board after bad loss because just asking it for it back times 10 when it will eventually happen back to iOS.

And they paid $820,000 for NIU to come into Lincoln and get the W. Great weekend for NIU. We can laugh at Nebby even though we experienced the same thing with the loss to NDSU last season.

There is so much parity in college football now with the reduction of scholarships and reduced number of walk ons.

No Doubt, and will be interesting to see who wants to get in line next, especially if the AD's not gone before Riley.

That has to be one of the worst - if not the worst - jobs in the country. You have grossly unrealistic expectations and a steep uphill battle in recruiting. I can't imagine how hard it is to get a 4* or 5* recruit to even visit Lincoln with all of the other options they have

Their not doing that bad recruiting skill players, but don't seem like their developing the kind of lineman that used to be there. Even today, the BIG is a league where you need to be able to run the ball, and stop the run. If your going to chuck the ball over the field then you can't turn it over like Nebraska has the last several years.

I think that the key to a Nebraska renaissance lies with better OL development and better strength and conditioning. I don't expect to see that from the current coaching regime.
