Hypothetical ethics question.

From following recruiting, Iowa has two prominent programs where the coaches have sons that will play for them or did play for them. Fran and his boys, Doyle and his son along with all the Ferentz boys who played for KF. We read a lot here where Fran was able to attend all these camps that a coach normally can't. Doyle can attend any camp his son goes to. Don't know if Kirk ever went.

But my questions is, if you are in their position, do you tell your kid to sign up for every possible camp so you can go out and see prospects that you might not be able to see face to face normally? Do you use the chance to scout kids who normally wouldn't be able to make it to your campus? Do you use your child to be able to get an advantage that other coaches don't necessarily have? Is it ethical to use your child for this? Curious what everyone thinks.

I'm also not judging or putting down the coaches if they are doing this. Just something I was thinking about.
