I don’t know what the bet was. I presume it was either a posting “fast” or an agreement to use an avatar, but unless there’s money at stake, the welch is actually more valuable than the loser abiding by the bet, because then you get to call him out on it, which is really what a message board is all about anyway.
PS: Been paying attention to politics for about 40 years. The lefties will never “get it”.

I didn't want gohox to go.. I publicly told him I'd revise the bet and give him some alternative "punishment" but he chose to back out of his word entirely and put me on ignore. I have no respect for it (and I did actually have respect for hox before).

You overvalue me but I'll say this much. Doesn't matter wtf you voted for. The results weren't what I wanted but the impact is going to be faced by all of us. And that greatly concerns me. Your ancestors spilled their guts in Europe and Japan to stop fascism. My ancestors were colonized by a king from England, which this country fought and threw in the trash.
And now we're going to reverse all that? Wtf is wrong with people today? Make no mistake. No party is looking out for us. I always tell people this and it isn't ever listened to. I have interacted with elected officials from both parties. The rudest person I met was Tom Harkin, which was beyond sad for a Democrat for me. The toughest I met was Tammy Duckworth. The kindest was Leonard Boswell. I have good relations with Joni and Chuck and many in Trump's cabinet will be Indians. Trump's former fcc chairman is distantly related to me. In DC and even in Des Moines, it's money and contacts. It's beyond stupid to fight at this level. You should unite on a grassroots level because behind close doors, it's all a big show.
