I am going to say it now…

I guess if I had to choose between an aid being like "ya, no, he's still alive, he just stares sometimes" or "No he's totally not going to attack Canada, the anti air defense is just preventative in case we really piss off Denmark"

I guess I choose blank stare.
Wow - what a low bar you have. 🥴

What is this a flashback to 2017?

- His antics/conduct/behavior have been normalized and people have gotten used to it
- He has the same or even more dedicated base of followers
- He has thoroughly taken over the GOP and purged most all of the ones with spines
- His cabinet up an down is full of loyalists as opposed to traditional cabinet holders
- He's not a fluke winner, who lost the popular vote to Hillary with the Comey/Russia baggage. People voted for this.
- Much friendlier SC, who gave him criminal immunity
- He's got Twitter in the bag and tech leaders playing friendly

Besides being older and of poor health, I can't see how there's optimism that he'll be held accountable by anyone, much less his own cabinet or anyone from his party.

I think it would take some massive economic fallout from the combination of tariffs and deportations to even consider the possibility that Trump could be out. And I suspect they'd reverse course before something like that happened.
The last sentence of your post is very telling, in that, Republicans do generally “reverse course” when their policies don’t get the desired results. Whereas, Dems generally just stick with failed policies.

Sorry, but when you have a convicted felon, rapist, and lifelong conman and criminal for president, most intelligent people will have qualms.
Just curious…what do you think has been Trump’s worst decision (or policy) during his first week in office? Likewise, can you name one thing you actually agree with that Trump has done during his first week in office?

…the citizens AND politicians are finally seeing it, as the country begins to rapidly descend into chaos due to an unhinged madman far worse than the 2016-2021 version of himself:

Trump will not be president by the end of the year. They are going to remove his sorry arse with amendment 25. There is no hiding how awful and mentally deranged he is any longer and the billionaires do not want to see an economy collapse, which it will do, nor the instability as the citizens begin to anger at who is financing this stuff. The true downfall has (finally) begun after the press conference.
Wow.
Try to get back on the rails. You probably will need help.

What are you talking about? Look at the responses from his acolytes. This is what a huge segment of America has become. Out before the end of the year? He'll likely serve a 3rd term if he's not dead yet.
A he will Have Big Mac attack, and No. Hopefully.

No. It means the stock market- as a proxy for the economy - is one of the few things that Trump actually cares about. It's unlikely Trump will actually follow through with his campaign claims regarding mass deportation and tariffs, because the stock market will largely tame him.

I do remember when Republicans were going nuts about the border and immigration, then when they got a bipartisan bill (you know Dems not sticking with failed policies) that was going to improve things at the border, they reversed course because they weren't going to get the desired results (something to blame on the Democrats).

I do love your childlike naivete though Hans, the other day you said you were 61? Can't wait to see how you're doing in another 5-10.

lol…talk about naive…if you truly believe that so-called bipartisan border bill would have truly curtailed illegal immigration. 😳

I do appreciate your fake concern about my future. I’ll be fine. 😉

I also remember when Republicans wee conservative and liked things like the free market, rule of law, and family values. They admired people of integrity, who have personal accountability. But when those didn't get the desired results, they "reverse course".

They reversed course into grievance fueled imagination based realities controlled by a cult of personality.

I said it would have improved things at the border. Which it undoubtedly would. And it was bipartisan, Senator Lankford - due to the Dems weakness on this issue - extracted a number of concessions, a huge win for Republicans. That is until Trump decided to kill it, so he could continue to use it as a political wedge issue.

To people who inhibit reality, none of that is particularly controversial. Yet, since your tether to reality is rather loose, you have your own version of events.

Oh, and only you brought up 'curtailed illegal immigration' whatever that definition could be. Work on your reading comprehension. And it's real concern Hans, you're always very polite.

I assumed my comment on ‘curtailed illegal immigration’ was synonymous with your comment on ‘improving things at the border’. 🤔

I too am concerned about the apparent degregation of society, regardless of political persuasion. However, Republican policies (despite all of Trump’s faults…which I agree are many) will still be better for this country than Democrat policies…IMHO.

LOL! that so-called bipartisan bill didn't even make it out of the Senate where it originated. Mike Johnson said the bill was doa in the house before Trump even made a statement about it.
