This team has had its obvious ups and downs and so far consistency has not been there in any area of the game. The offensive side of the ball is a mystery to me... not sure why the production has not been up to expectations particularly in the running game.
STILL, I think this can be a genuinely successful season capped off by a bowl win. Our young guys are real positives. I like the prospects for the passing game and the defense in particular. Wadley is due for a breakout game or three and if we can get health over the bye week, we can be a very tough out for the balance of the teams we play, as long as the team plays with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Intangibles are the key. It always amazes me how a bunch of 18 to 23 year old guys find it difficult to get up for each of 12 regular season games, in any given year: the college football experience is too short and it slips away so quickly!
