I called the trick play at the beginning of the season

I didn't understand why Urban didn't call timeout. Even the players said they were expecting a quick timeout from OSU.

Urban ran over to the ref and was going to use it but as we all know he didn’t. Giddy up!

The Indianapolis Colts tried to run a weird version of the Swinging Gate / Lonesome Polecat against the Patriots in 2015. Ended up being the worst play ever because they had the "polecat" directly under center (the QB has to be 10 yards back for it to make any sense).

Bert tried to run it last week, but handed off to the motion man who ran into his own player.

Other than that, there are grainy YouTube videos of high school teams running it, somewhat successfully, from 1990.

When AJ went in motion, OSU should've taken the entire right side of the defense back to the middle of the field (save 1 or 2 guys, to guard the "Wide Receiver" on the far left of the formation) as there were no other eligible receivers to guard.

It blows my mind that we would even take time to practice something as obscure and weird as the Polecat.

Meyer should have burned a timeout. He calls timeout, we line up and kick it.
