I pulled into a spot at a convenience store downtown one time. Apparently, home slice was going to back in before I did that. He came into the store after me and said "hey man, you need to watch what the hell you're doing, I was backing into that spot." I had a simple response, "learn how to fvcking park" and I walked away. Morons.

Phones should not be allowed in the gym. Don't be the guy that does one set in slow motion, sits and looks at his phone for ten minutes and then does another set. People suck.
As I have often said, if you can't back in in a single shot, you need to find an empty parking lot and work on your driving skills because you suck at it. Same for parallel parking - one shot. Either learn how to drive or Uber.
Counterpoint, go to literally any parking lot with perpendicular spaces. Take notice of how there are always far more shitty park jobs by small cars who pulled in compared to those who backed in.
People who sit for long periods of time on machines or benches. With their water.
I just find a spot to drive straight through so I don't have to back in. ;>)
I have a complaint though on parallel parking. The spaces are too small for my 1 ton 4-wheel drive truck to fit if the car in front and back are parked as close to the lines as possible.
I hate this too and I never understood how are they going to see your trailer hitch ballsack when backing in???
Or speed up while exiting to get ahead of the person who is also speeding up to enter. Come on, people, you should be SLOWING DOWN to exit, so just slide in behind the person trying to get up to interstate speed to get on.
My view is that once the ramp stops curving and is going a straight line that's the time to start accelerating.

Who wait until the last second to get out their checkbook at the grocery store. First, who still writes checks there? Second, if you are the one person who does, why don't you have it mostly filled out and ready to go?

When everyone is leaving a sporting event at the same time, it's 100% safer.
You go 5-10 over the posted speed for the curve and then as soon just before it straightens out you accelerate that MF while you look for a space to merge and don't slow down unless you must to merge. Imo

I think Tar hit the mark. If you can do it in one movement, then who cares. It's the people who spend 10 minutes trying to back in, thus causing others to wait for you to do it.

I haven’t used a checkbook at the grocery store or any checkout in at least 15 years. My Mom (RIP) used to use them but even the people she went shopping with from the retirement home would get impatient behind her in line. So she just used a credit card at Publix and paid it off every month.
Really it’s super rare to see anyone using checks anymore.
You do realize you’ll probably have to wait just as long or longer with the bigger vehicles to park in that tiny little spot forward facing.
Or do you strictly hate people that back in when they don’t need to and are terrible at it? If that’s the case shouldn’t you just be angry at people that can’t park?
About 70% of the pickup trucks in suburban/urban USA are vanity big dicks for which the owners have no practical use. They will have to work hard to earn my sympathy.
Counter-counterpoint: Most people park in spots the normal way, which is to not back into it. So of course you are going to see more crappy parking jobs.
Where do you get that 70% number? Who determined that they have to justify their use or reason for having a truck?

I pulled that number out of my ass but there are a lot more pickup trucks than blue collar tradesmen where I live. Shiny spotless pickup trucks all over. They don't have to justify it, but they can STFU about people who own smaller vehicles that are much more practical choices.
I wouldn’t drive one of those “smaller” vehicles either and I don’t own a pickup. I think if someone wants one it’s none of my bizness.
Well pretty much any truck today needs to be a crew cab truck or you won’t be able to haul your kids around.
Are they only allowed to drive a sedan or a minivan or do you have problems with minivans as well?
