I really think if we had any chance, we needed to win these last two games. I would have rather lost to the
clowns and beat PSU and MSU. Our schedule is brutal and Wisky's is a cupcake paradise!

Lol, please don't ever lump Neb in with Wis or Oh St.
The appropriate Neb grouping would be: "we have Rut, Neb, & Ill coming up. Iowa could combine to beat these 3 teams 200-0!".
OSU , Wisky and possibly Purdue but UNL is horrible.
They have the worst coach and QB in the Big 10.
The defense has done an unbelievable job keeping us in games that could have easily been blowout losses. If the offense were not dreadful, we would be undefeated or at least split MSU-PSU. IMO, it is unfair to hammer Stanley given he is a first year starter with a total of 4 minutes of game time under his belt prior to this season. We cannot run the ball, so he is constantly in obvious passing situations, which exposes our inability to pass block.
Beathard's best season two years ago was due in large to his ability to scramble and make plays with his legs. Last year, hobbled, playing in the same ultra-predictable offense, he looked terrible. He is now the 49ers QB in waiting.
Point here is that as long as KF is the coach, this is the offense we will get, regardless of who is on the field or OC. I heard KF interviewed by Dolphin before the MSU game and a reference to North Texas was made. KF's comment was that they did some stuff we didn't expect or see on film and that really threw us off our game...credit their staff for that. Wouldn't it be nice to hear an opposing coach say that about Iowa instead of the "you know what you are going to get when you play Iowa".

Newsflash, the Defense hasn't been the reason we're losing. If they were giving up 30 pts a game, ok, but they're not. You may not like the style, but it's been effective.
The defense is responsible for keeping us in games. They also share responsibility in our awful field positioning. And in our offense's best game, they let the other team score almost at will on us. But don't take my word for it, ask the Outlaw how he rates the defensive performance so far.
