That might be a better story. But, I think more likely they fall to a 6 or 7, are shuffled off to a more distant venue, and quietly lose their first round game.

I think that is usually true because if a team doesn't start out well I thought they gave them credit for coming on strong at the end of the season. That didn't seem to be true for Iowa in the 2013-2014 season though as they lost way to many games late to even make the play in game they lost to Tennessee. Iowa got a an 11 seed after starting the season 17-5 but went 3-7 in the last 9 games of the regular season + their loss in the first round of the Big 10 tournament. inishing so poorly at the end of the season did not even merit a play in game in my opinion.

Don't think they would give a 7 or 8 seed home court against a top seed in the 2nd rd. If Iowa ends up that high of a seed they will be playing far away from Des Moines.

Currently Iowa is sitting at probably a 4 or 5 right now if season ended today.

Win the last 2 games and 1 in the BTT- Looking at a 3-5 seed

Finish 1-1 and win 1 in the BTT looking at a 4-6 seed

Finish 0-2 and none in the BTT looking at a 6-8 seed.

Finish 0-2 and win the BTT looking at a strong 5 seed play.

Regardless Iowa will not be in Des Moines. I could see them getting sent to St Louis as a possibility. They will get a tough match-up and w/no momentum late in the season they will be a HOT pick for being upset. Just GOD PLEASE do not let it be some Northwestern State Tech school.
