interesting take. I know the gator/hawk chomp has been debunked on here many times, but I'll reiterate that Iowa has actually done it since the early 50's/ late 40's, well before Florida was even respectable.
Not sure what Clear my Throat is played at Iowa. Never heard it played at Kinnick. Not saying it hasn't been played, but it's not tradition.
Kernkraft is an old song and was used during Marquette basketball games well before Penn State adopted it. So Iowa stole it from Penn State who stole it from Marquette? And I know it's played at a lot of hockey games.
What is the OSU chant that Iowa stole?

I was being cordial and tried to have a civil discourse until some random fans (or dudes!) who turned my thread into a circus sideshow. Whatever floats your boat. I'm a very level headed person but making cruel jokes about "ped state" is crossing the line. My fraternity brothers will tell you they knew when to lay of and not touch my button when I get angry. I'm very disciplined thanks to ROTC and my martial arts background. I don't look for trouble, it's usually the other way around. It's people like you who deserve to be taught a lesson. I'm sure if we hanged out a bar you would act normal and show respect to me and my alma mater. You guys seem to be really good at talking thee talking. I walk the walk. Next time our two teams play each other and the game is in Iowa, I will be making a trip to Iowa City (interpret this however you want. Am I making a threat? Maybe or maybe not).
Here are the undeniable facts:
We are more famous, we have the clear name recognition. Your team is undefeated and there's hardly any mention of Iowa in the national spotlight.
We have stronger tradition both on and off the field.
Our uniform is famous. Yeah, it's all white yet it's simple, clean and elegant.

I've been going to Iowa City for years, but I just quit. This guy might show up and kill us all. If Penn State ever comes back to Iowa, they'll play in an empty stadium. It'll be a sad day, but fans just shouldn't take a chance... he's just too tough. Heck, if I'm heading east, I'm driving around Pennsylvania.
I've also never seen this before, nobody has a conclusive answer? Also had no idea that the ohhhhhhhho oh oh, oohhhhh oh oh song was "Penn State's" song. Iowa has been playing it for a decade, at least. I doubt anyone is real attached to it though.

I really wish we would have played Penn State this year, even though it would have hurt our strength of schedule. I miss our little play dates.
They do actually say it. I saw a video of it with sound etc. However, I couldn't attach it. It isn't meant as disrespect, evidently that is what PSU does during the song, so one time while the song was playing over the PA, the Iowa marching band said it and have just continued. Btw, SCM is still a douche, as evidenced by his douche move in starting this thread. "Hey I was going to congratulate you, but your band says, We are Penn State.. so now I'm all upset and hope you lose..." Btw, to claim to come on here to congratulate Iowa on the win, and in the same sentence lay claim to questionable calls is also very douchey. You are also known for one of the largest and most concealed child sex scandals in United States history... Penn state WAS relevant until 2002ish (it's been 13 years), no doubt you have a crazy stadium and game atmosphere that cannot be re- created since your stadium holds over 100k but that wasn't the initial point of all this. You got angry about our band? Which I don't understand cause hose port kids have been at the bottom of the sympathy list for.... Well.... Ever. we did?....i must of missed that conviction.....but don't get me wrong, i'm not naive to what the NCAA accused us of. they were so sure of it...that in a measly 18 months, they eradicated all the sanctions against the athletic program....like it never happened....pooft...gone...........great comparison to the catholic church scandal....but I digress

anyway...i didn't come on here to fight with Iowa fans. I got no beef and I'm pulling for the team. I came on here because I was curious about the whole "We Are Penn State" chant by Iowa's band......then I saw the idiot post by the OP/PSU fan....felt compelled to yell at him.
