I remember The Dark Years, so recent history is much, much easier to take overall. Do I want "more"? Sure. But I'm not going to let it ruin my life if it doesn't happen.

Great post. I, literally, feel your pain.

I cried when Pembroke Burrows III tipped in that crappy shot to beat the greatest team in Iowa basketball history. I was 15, but would have cried at any age.

Completely devastated when my favorite Hawk BB player of all time (Ronnie Lester) went down after scoring the first 10 points against L'Ville.

Heartbroken when UNLV came back to defeat the 86 Hawks. I still can't believe it.

That was a crazy start! Forgot the star from Louisville. Was it Darrell Griffith? He and Ronnie each scored all the points for their teams to start the game and the shit was on! Looked like a classic battle between two all americans. Then Denny the Crumb sends in a hatchet man to take out Ronnie's injured knee. It seemed so obvious to someone watching with black and gold glasses anyway. Wow! What could have been!

for everything that I have said tonight. It was all out of line. I just couldn't wrap around my head how a team fighting for their tournament lives gets blown out. Yes I realize Indiana shot the hell out of the ball but still. Anyway, my comments regarding this team and Fran were all just me showing me emotion which was bad at the time. I hope Fran stays but could win a BTT game sometime and the future is good regarding the players, hopefully. So in conclusion, I'm sorry for everything tonight. I am a hawkeye through and through but maybe I just need to stay off here for a little while after tough losses and stuff and wait till I'm calmed down. By the way, I'm a freshman in college at UNI in Cedar Falls.

Hey when I was your age, 32 now I overreacted to games as well but with your name being as it is i got on you for all the negative posts.

Most guys don't ever apologize, so your more mature than most posters in their 40s. Just saw this post, so if I said anything to you this morning I apologize too I just remember all your posts from acouple days ago that I wasn't happy with. But all is forgiven your a Hawkeye fan so all is well.
