IA Wrestle Midlands Preview

Pretty good. Brewer not going though. So I can see Clark vs Hall in the finals. Hall is dynamic on his feet, but Clark owns him on top so all Clark needs is a takedown.

Not that I'm completely disagreeing but if you look at their matches Clark has more takedowns overall.

That wasn't my point. My point was Clark owns him period. He only needs 1 takedown and he can work on top. I'm looking for a major the next time they meet.

I'll be interested to see how long does in the 41 bracket with jack and ashnault. Add in grothus and it's going to be a fun weight

Brewer only had 1 loss last year and was a 13 seed. He's already got 2 losses. If he sits out too many matches he will be in the same boat as last year. The committee hammered guys with too few of matches last year.

If Northwestern's 157 lbs Bryce Brill is healthy he will be a real problem/threat for both #2 Miller, and #1 Martinez. The guy is for real (if healthy? big question mark).

Guess this is not the final roster (as noted they don't have to finalize until tomorrow, but this was what was on today's press release).

That list is what I was expecting to see, but I wouldn't have been surprised to see a couple of different names..

Hell of a list, a little bummed Brody isn't quite ready yet, but i'd rather him be healthy than just wrestle to satisfy the fans bloodthirsty appetite. Glad to see St. John will be competing (for the 2nd time ever in college?).

I hope our studs get it done. The young blood in the lineup takes some strides, and the redshirts have a great showing.

Got my list from TW as well. I can't reveal all my secrets, otherwise I'll be inconsequential. We can't have that now, can we? ;)

Taylor's name is registered at 184 for any wondering if he would end up at 197 (which would've been pretty crazy all things considered).

I went through and previewed the massive tournament and gave my take on the Iowa wrestlers from each weight.

It looks like it's going to be a good one. I also included the true freshman that I think Iowa will send

Great article. A lot of great info all in one shot. The only thing that would be more convenient is if you would call me on the phone and read it to me. Nice weight by weight summary, keep up the good work!!!

Interesting note that Paul Glynn is wrestling 133 for the first time this season, down from 141 where he had modest success at 10-6.

184 is going to be a meat grinder. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th wrestlers in the Intermat rankings will be there (Dechow, Stauffer and Nathaniel Brown of Lehigh, who isn't listed in the IAWrestle preview but is listed on Trackwrestling), plus a fairly accomplished post-grad and a very talented true freshman (Zahid Valencia).

Seeds later tonight?
