I never post on HR anymore (despite my legendary status) but damn why the hell is everyone so effing negative...when the Hawks were up 23 (on the road) there were dickwads whining about substitutions shot selection etc. in what I found to be an utterly perfect first half of basketball. The 2nd half comeback from Minnesota was in a sense inevitable but really....to anyone who knows anything about basketball the game was really never in doubt...just shut up losers.

Tell me more about this “never posting anymore.”

The number of spoiled, whiny, negative fans is unbelievable. Drama queens with a completely negative and hyper critical view.

No a comeback up 23 should not be inevitable especially when other team is short handed. Yes this game was in doubt before Keegan bailed out perkins who was dribbling down the shot clock which looked like another poor possession vs the zone. And anyone who has played b-ball knows this. Or the fact we blew a 7 pt lead in last minute and lost in OT in this same building a year ago.

Yeah, it’s become almost unbearable. I tried ignoring all the negative people and Twitter regurgitaters, unfortunately, the thread choices dwindled greatly, so I stopped ignoring the idiots, and now just laugh at their stupidity!
I am going to go call people idiots and laugh at their stupidity and ignore them because they are negative and regurgitate!

It’s ironic the OP is calling other posters idiots.

Gotta love the Superfans.

My only problem was that Fran did not call a timeout way earlier when you could feel momentum changing and I mean right when Minnesota was on a 5-0 run, it was becoming apparent that a timeout was needed but as always, for whatever reason he lets it go, IMO he is very bad with the use of timeouts, always has been.

Everyone has been demanding for years that Fran only play 9 players. Well, Fran played 9 today.

But that is not good enough! His substitution patterns suck! He's not starting the right 5!! Posters on here know what they are talking about; if only Fran would read this message board and learn from us!!! ;) Just kidding, of course.

Ok, back to reality, which is:

* Iowa got up 23 and relaxed. Big mistake; they will learn from it.

* Give Minny credit; they went to a zone and the game changed dramatically.

* Bottom line? Iowa won.

* A win on the road in the B1G is always a good win.

* An ugly win is always better than an ugly loss.

* Learn from it and move on to Rutgers.

GO HAWKS!!!

#RELB (raise, extension, larger buyout)

Exactly and that’s why I said game was in doubt unlike yourself that said game was never in doubt. We took or foot off the peddle and were playing not too lose. Good lesson for some of these younger guys.
just never felt like they were going to lose...wasn't in the cards...I had no doubt

Well as I said I had flashbacks from last year so Unlike you I had some doubt. Again this should be a good message to this team not to take your foot off the gas and put teams away. Keep pouring it on.

uh..that game was in doubt.

Fran is a public figure and he's paid handsomely to be critiqued at his job. This is a board of opinions. It is the University of Iowa and the players and the school that matters. It isn't the University of Fighting McCafferies---if he were to take another job or let go, Iowa b-ball will be just fine.

I love Fran but jfc some of you are such raging vajays... so what, we're not allowed to criticize Frans rotations? I don't see many taking personal shots at individual players. I root like hell for them and hope Fran is here for a long time, but if you don't think his rotations are absolutely mind boggling, then your opinion means nothing.

How many new negative threads/posts have appeared since the game finished? Not many?

Gotta love the posters who don’t contribute to game threads, but instead aloofly criticize those who put their emotions throughout the game into writing… and ironically starting a new thread containing nothing but negativity to do so

Guess what? Every game thread ever has flurries of frequently fluctuating emotions. If you don’t like the negative emotions and subsequent posts that occur as Iowa blows a 20+ point lead, then there always exists the option to not follow along. If everybody shared the same perspective and it was all sunshine and rainbows, then there would be nothing here to discuss and the board would be pointless
