If I get convicted of a felony in 2028, can I just pay the fee to run for president

These convictions will be vacated. So I have read.

If that happens what will the left do? Because it would be, in effect, removing this conviction. Not a lawyer so I looked it up.

"An offender whose conviction has been vacated may state for all purposes that he or she has not been convicted of that crime."

Well there goes the lefts narrative!

He was the presumptive nominee.

When was the last time you were awake and went an entire hour without thinking about Trump? Because your posting history suggests that it has been several years since that last happened.
He was getting cases delayed even before he was the presumptive nominee.

The rest of your post is just dumb. He's a felon and rapist. Why wouldn't I be concerned he's the president?

Why do you keep asking about this? They don’t care. You can ask until your blue in the face, but the answer is still that they don’t care. Save yourself some time to complain about something else because they don’t care about this.

Court cases get delayed all the time for any number of reasons. By the time he was convicted by the state of New York, he was already the presumptive GOP nominee.

And the rest of my post was not dumb because it isn’t just that you’re obsessing over a convicted felon becoming President.

You have posted about Trump multiple times every waking hour of every single day for years.

Years.

Since long before he was found criminally guilty or civilly liable of any crime. Since long before we had any realistic reason to think he was actually going to be reelected.

The vast majority of the time you’re just rehashing the same topics again and again and again. You have 60,000 posts and I would bet my house that 40,000 of them are about Trump.

Jesus, man, find some happiness. This is your one life. Don’t waste 90% of it gnashing your teeth over Donald Trump.

The only criminal case in which Trump was convicted was relatively weak and would have been unlikely to withstand appeal, regardless of whether he became President-Elect.
It was far stronger than Hunters felonies. He also had far more grave cases against him like the classified documents case. But now none of those will go through. And why? Because he's the president and can commit whatever crimes he wants. It's a very disturbing precedent to have set.

It stinks but there's not much we can do about Trump.

He won. :(

Trump started getting indicted in 2023. That was long before the election let alone any presumptive nominee talk. And Trump was using his candidacy for president as justification to delay court cases. And it was working. So why can't anyone do the same? Get indicted or convicted and simply run for president to delay things.

The rest of your post is just nonsense. If you don't like my threads then stop reading them. Nobody is forcing you in here.

Starting a resurrection is relatively weak?

Oh yeah, the corrupted SCOTUS has ruled.

Who knew?

The only criminal case in which Trump was convicted was much weaker than either of Hunter's instances in federal courts.
New York pursued a case that expanded the charges to felonies to evade the statute of limitations on a crime that the DOJ passed.

If Hunter wasn't Biden's son there is pretty much zero chance prosecutors would bother with the case.

Do I have to source all my posts? I already do enough of them on my own.

Lots of posters throw shit hoping itll stick and never source their opinions. But because I post things based on what I have read on normal media, I have the ability to source it.

Someone on X does not count as a source. Obviously.

You can't be serious.

Can you?

ok, but we know for a fact that the DOJ passed on filing charges on the charge DJT was convicted of by the state on NY

I am serious, but perhaps one of our legal experts can clarify—I’m more than willing to admit if I’m mistaken.

Based on my understanding:
Trump was convicted on a state felony charge, which had to be elevated to a felony due to statute of limitations issues in order to proceed. The DOJ had previously declined to pursue this charge.

Biden pled guilty to federal tax charges.

Why would you consider Trump’s state conviction more significant than Biden’s federal conviction?

You fell for fake news. Your liberal media had you convinced that Trump was going to jail.

You claimed they will be vacated. Your link "suggest" they "might" be. Big difference.

I'm not sure how he can have state crimes "vacated" but he will still be a convicted felon and I will still refer to him as a convicted felon. He will always be a convicted felon that has not paid for his crimes. Nothing can ever change that no matter what he wants you to say. And I will think you are an idiot for trying to make the argument that he is not a convicted felon because he claims to not be a convicted felon. You might as well just go around and start saying Iowa won a national championship last season too. It literally has that much validity.

And avoid sentencing for the entire year? If not, why? Those seem to be the rules now.
That sounds like work. You would have to limit your do-nothing mud-slinging, liberal whining while you actually tried to connect with voters. You'd tire of it quickly

Anyone who intentionally files fraudulent tax returns in order to avoid paying $1.4 million in taxes is probably going to get prosecuted, regardless of who their father is.

Cute story. Hunter didn't get convicted for this.

Yes. The real lesson of the election is that the Dems didn't lie enough to the voters. How craven of us.

The methods of the indictments have only ever been indict Trump. What has been done should be viewed at a minimum as election interference and if warranted as treason.
