If I get convicted of a felony in 2028, can I just pay the fee to run for president

I'm not sure how he can have state crimes "vacated" but he will still be a convicted felon and I will still refer to him as a convicted felon. He will always be a convicted felon that has not paid for his crimes. Nothing can ever change that no matter what he wants you to say. And I will think you are an idiot for trying to make the argument that he is not a convicted felon because he claims to not be a convicted felon. You might as well just go around and start saying Iowa won a national championship last season too. It literally has that much validity.
If his crimes are vacated by the court he is no longer a convincted felon. Saying something doesnt make it true.

Just like saying Kamala was gonna win didnt make it true.

Id love to hear the HBOT attorneys comment. @Aardvark86 et al.

Despite Joe being a crook, New York State doesn’t recognize either he or Trump as felons.

It must be hard not seeing obvious things for what they are.

Huey, the whole case was bunk from the get go lol

I don’t pretend to know the details of the state claims, but if there was a fundamental legal error it could be vacated. But not based on a federal pardon or his status as president

The only criminal case in which Trump was convicted was relatively weak and would have been unlikely to withstand appeal, regardless of whether he became President-Elect.
Sure. He was found guilty by a jury of his peers. Trump Org has also lost a civil and criminal case, and Donald is an adjudicated rapist. Without a bungling federal judge in Florida and the Federalist Society cultists on the SCOTUS he'd have been in prison for the documents case. Noted Republican and Trump's on AG Bill Barr said it was a "slam dunk".
But, yeah. Weak case.

Cute story. Hunter didn't get convicted for this.
I’m fairly certain Huey has seen the links I provided in response to this post. He has been posting in other threads, so surely he got the notification that I replied. And yet he hasn’t returned to this thread.

I guess his plan is to just keep quiet and hope no one notices that he was completely wrong.

And avoid sentencing for the entire year? If not, why? Those seem to be the rules now.
You'd have to make sure you have policies/ideas that will galvanize the people, like things that will make the stock market go up and basically anything that will put money back in people's pockets. Also pander to the anti-woke crowd.

That's like winning the Super Bowl in Chicago. Do that and you could slaughter a family of 5 and they would still give you a lifetime contract.....as long as you keep winning.

That's your ticket.

We were talking about the gun conviction and from left field you come up with the tax charges. Why can't you stick to the topic, which is that Hunters gun conviction somehow counts but Trump's doesn't?

I love threads like this one, where posters who totally hate Trump vigorously carve out spaces for themselves to view him as a victim, and explain away all of his legal peccadilloes.

Lol. Yet another swing and miss by Huey.

At no point in this thread was it specified that you were only talking about the gun charges. In fact, in post #22 NoleinATL mentioned ”either of Hunter's instances in federal courts,” implying both the tax charges and the gun charges. You quoted that post when you replied in the very next post, claiming that the only reason the Justice Department prosecuted Hunter was because he is Joe’s son.

I do, however, find it amusing that your counterpoint is essentially “I wasn’t referring to those felonies for which Hunter was convicted. I was referring to different, other felonies for which Hunter also was convicted.”

You really put me in my place with that one.

Ofc I was talking about the gun charges. He plead guilty to the tax stuff. Not my problem you refuse to keep up.

And another TJ post and another opportunity missed for you to finally call Trump a scumbag who should be in prison instead of the White House.

I’m not defending Trump. I’d be perfectly happy to see him rot in prison for the rest of his life.

I’m mocking Huey’s imaginary ‘facts’ and manic-depressive meltdown. If you weren’t such fvcking idiots you might understand the disinction.

How many threads have you started now on this very same topic, Huey? 15? 20? You’re genuinely reaching clinical status here. I hope anyone who lives with you is keeping the pointy objects locked up.

I’ve said many times he should be in jail and nowhere near the White House. I’ve probably said it a hundred times. I just don’t say it a hundred times a day like you do.

Weird how you hate him so much but blow a gasket that I start threads once in a great while about him.

You misinterpret my point. The rules for them are different for you and me was my point. The elites don’t answer to the law.
Anyone else with a felony can't do things like work at McDonalds or take your kid on a field trip without special permission.
