We used to live in a world where players frequently weren't contributors until their junior and senior seasons. Now fans demand players play minutes right away, otherwise they fall all over themselves in a competition to see who can claim the coach "whiffed".
Then we act surprised and shocked with the transfer culture!
Excellent point, Tom Izzo just commented on this a couple of weeks ago, Young players and fans want instant gratification, Many young players have gotten into the mindset that if they don't see immediate playing time they look for greener pastures instead of really looking in the mirror and seeing what they need to do to improve their game to where they can become an asset and see the floor. Many fans want to dismiss a player far too early instead of letting them develop over time. Seems many here want to chastise Brady Ellingson and wish he would transfer vs applauding him for sticking it out and working to improve and become an asset to the team further down the road. I am glad he has shown the commitment to the program and accepted the challenge to improve in hopes of contributing in the future. The easy way out is to run away if you see a tough challenge, I like guys that are willing to face the challenge.
