If you could get a beer with any rock star in history, who would it be?

Hope you are not a lightweight if trying to drink with Richard Manuel from the Band. I've read stories of him downing between 6 to 8 bottles of Cognac DAILY in the years before his death. Even heard his house in Malibu had over 2000 empty bottles of Grand Marnier after his death. Great band. Too bad they were fairly short lived.
I’d be more worried about the copious amounts of heroin.

Dave Grohl is not getting enough love. I read his autobiography and would love to hang out with him.

I saw a documentary on backup musicians and Alice Cooper is a legit good guy according to all of them. He’s my number 2.

Side note from the same documentary Billy Joel is an epic douchebag.
I met Alice Cooper and got to have a short conversation with him. He was a cool guy. I knew he loved golf so we talked mostly about that. I didn't get to have a beer with him but I would have loved to have more time to chat with him than I did.

He did. Hotel-bound on a biz trip a couple weeks ago I caught a docu piece about him. Really interesting. The band was actually called Alice Cooper, but as the front man eventually the name got attached to Vinnie so he became "Alice Cooper". Smart guy, pretty cool.

As for which rocker I'd want a beer with...man that's tough. But as a drummer, I'd go with Ringo. The stories he'd have about the band, the individual guys, the Beatles roller coaster, everything...would be endless. He saw the biggest music phenomenon of the 20th century from the best seat in the house. (I always tell people, the best place to see any concert from...is the drum throne).

Nobody has said Brian May. He's a freaking genius and incredibly humble, front row seat for/with Freddie Mercury. interesting cat.

Modern Day: Dave Grohl. Guy almost single-handedly kept the concept of arena rock alive and I love the way he always invites other musicians to join on stage. Reinventing yourself from drummer to frontman is no small feat either. (all due respect to Phil Collins and Don Henley)
