If you want defense

good point on luka . did his 1st half hurt as much as anything that happened in the last 5 minutes ? food for thought .
Every play matters in totality, but that's not the way the real world works. You close out games or you don't, and those are the moments that COUNT the most, and also defines those who are clutch and those who aren't.

You can go from Hero to Goat in a heartbeat, and you can switch those roles the very next contest, if there is one............

I think the refs have (perhaps) unconsciously decided that Garza is so good that the other team should be allowed to bump and slap at him on every possession just to even things out. He got 27 shots up, but he probably should have had at least that many FT's as well.

I take a different view. Garza is so unorthodox around the basket at times that he looks awkward and “forced”, and officials rarely reward that with a foul regardless of contact occurring.

He's also nowhere near the Free Throw shooter Bohannon is, and he's much looser with the ball.

The Defense gets torched anyway, and in this case Toussaint in particular (as you described), so we are much better off having Bohannon in there if we make sure he touches it every inbound entry late in a close game, Home or Away, crowd or no crowd.

Bohannon is a weapon in that situation that every team on the planet wishes they had, and Iowa responds with him not going to the line one single time. It's unfathomable to me that this could happen. Complete and utter failure = L.
on bohannons part for not being able to get open , right ?

They have something called a Screen in Basketball, and you can have more than one player on a team set them.

Bohannon has got "open" many times at the end of games and immediately got fouled and went to the Free Throw Line. Have you ever watched Iowa Basketball before?

It's up to The Coach to find a way to get the best clutch Free Throw Shooter on his Team the ball. And Jordan Bohannon has proven to be that guy time after time after time.

Please stop. He got the ball at the end of the Minny game twice. First time he passes it back to Connor who passed it to Touissant. Which by the way was the right play. But, he also had the opportunity to dribble it and try and draw a foul, which he did not. So please stop with him not getting him the ball.

They have enough offense in the starting lineup that they don't need JBO. Joe T should start and play he majority of minutes at the point. Bring in JBO off the bench as a bench gunner. I think at this point he is starting just because of seniority. I think the more time he is out there as well the more comfortable he will get and turn it over less. Interestingly his TO% isn't any worse than Connor's.
