I could have gone off the information grid starting January 7th 2021 and there would have been no difference in my day-to-day life. It would have been like 2008-2016 when the POTUS didn't even cross my mind. I wasn't even off the information grid during that time and I never heard anything about President Obama. Ever. I don't even remember the tan suit meltdown.
From 2016-2020 all I heard about was Trump. If I didn't see it online, I would hear people talking about it. He said this, or he said that, or he Tweeted this, or he shook a dictator's hand, or he praised Putin. The White House, the media, and Washington D.C. in general became a circus. It may have had a very small impact on my life, but the POTUS was no longer an afterthought.
So, to answer your question, I think it depends on who wins the election. Assuming life goes on as normal and there are no attacks on our nation or we aren't thrust into a war, I believe I could go off the information grid and my life would carry on BAU if Kamala wins. I doubt I would hear much about her at all, kind of like how it has been under President Biden that last 4 years.
If Trump wins, you won't be able to avoid the circus again. Even if you went off the information grid the day after he took office, my day-to-day would still be impacted by his presence in the White House. People would talk about him, what he's saying, what he's doing, his praise toward dictators, etc. I wouldn't be able to avoid it because I don't want to avoid people. I don't like Trump, so this would negatively impact my life.
Does that make sense?
