I believe Nebraska fans would like to get back to some of the things Iowa is doing now. Low turnovers, higher takeaways, big dominating offensive lineman, ball-hawking defensive backs. Add that to the positive things we do now and then beat you. We have to look up to Iowa right now and we do not like it. It looks like this might turn into a pretty good rivalry. We haven't had a really good one since Oklahoma.

It's a good thing for Nebraska that the Oklahoma rivalry has ended... Given the state of the 2 programs there wouldn't be any competition to it... OU would win 9 out of 10 games.
The funniest part of it all is the delusional Bugeater Fans who think they are still on top of the World. Their recruiting classes are decent but nothing like Ohio State or Alabama, their Coach was the worst hire in History and they can't even "lock down" the best recruits in their own state anymore..

IMHO the Eastern Iowa Hawkeye fans have not really grasped the intensity yet. Western Iowans have been fed up and jealous of Nebby for ever. They want to rub as much salt in the Husker wounds as they can. And it is an absolute FACT, Nebby fans are delusional. They just can't get their hay making heads around what is going on.

Nebraska is also saying their one trip to the B10 Championship Game was very similar to ours. Oh wait, they got beat 70-31 by Wisconsin...yes 70 points allowed by the Black shirts. Black shirts...that's hilarious...pink shirts maybe. They gave up 545 yards rushing in that game...Black shirts...lol. Why would you even want to have a name for a defense that gave up 55 to Purdue this year. Seriously, their defense has been awful for a long time, especially in Big Games.

I've never understood why since firing Solich Nebraska seems to be so dead set against embracing their power football past. Not saying they should run the power I again, but the Callahan and Riley offenses just seem to be a really poor fit at Nebraska. For them to have success again I think they need a Bielema type offense. That and a much better defense. Fortunately for us, I don't see them wising up anytime soon.
