I'll just say it

OK. You win. Your argument is far too compelling for me to continue. (Sarcasm)
You have an outstanding football team and school. Your state and all of its residents are far superior to everyone else especially Nebraskans and their woeful football team. The End.
For God's sake man, had I seen this before I told you to play nice I'd have been more sympathetic. You're not on suicide watch right now are you?

Sorry if I hurt some feelings. I'll play nice. Just trying to keep it real.
No big deal. If you came here to sincerely compliment us, then I thank you. But there is an established pattern of husker fans coming here and stirring things up, and then they get all defensive. I won't mind talking with you if you have good intentions. Some of us (me) are just quick to argue because we're tired of it.

Nebraska USED to be a blue blood. That's why there are so many Nebraska fans in Iowa, especially western Iowa. I now live in Georgia and cannot believe all the Roll Tide crap I see around here from people that have absolutely no connection to the state of Alabama, let alone the University of Alabama. They are just people that need to feel like they're part of something successful. It must suck to give up your allegiance to a team that, at the time, gives you a sense of "pride", only to have it become a mediocre middle of the road team. If I had chosen not to go to school at Iowa, or to even go to school at all, I would at least have chosen to be a fan of one of my home state schools. Thank God I chose Iowa or I might be an Iowa State fan today... excuse me while I go vomit.

Nebraska fans are bordering on Cyclone territory with their Iowa obsession. you would think they would worry about their dumpster fire a little more instead of coming over here.

One would think. But then again, one would think one would not be a Nebraska fan at all, so I dunno.

I think MSU is going to get beat by Alabama, pretty easily. Iowa better beat Stanford, hopefully then they silence the doubters, but if MSU gets blown out, people will say "See, Iowa's overrated, they don't belong, etc.". I haven't watched much Stanford fb this season, I don't know how they stack up against IA.

We're a dumpster fire but we did do something Iowa couldn't, beat MSU.

What type of fan's mind sees this and knows the nation saw it...

...and STILL tried to brag about this as a "win"? MSU had to earn their win, and even they acknowledged they were lucky on the spot after 4th and 2. There was more respect for us and our loss, than you got in your "win".

You just nipped us having a better century with Osborne's last couple years, but it's a Hawkeye 21st Century. I'll keep posting this as long as you want to play this game...

Best Bowl Win:
Nebraska - 2000 Alamo Bowl vs. Northwestern
Iowa - 2010 Orange Bowl (BCS), (2004 Citrus vs. LSU, 2003 Outback Bowl vs. Florida both also better)

Conference Titles:
Nebraska - 0
Iowa - 2...

Number of Top 10 finishes:
Nebraska - 2 (2000, 2001 at #7)
Iowa - 4 (also #7)

12 Win Seasons:
Nebraska - 0
Iowa - 1 :D

Lil bro is a mentality. Neb has it. Sure Iowa wins in Lincoln almost all the time but it's more than that. Iowans are winning in life. Nebraskans are not.
Nebraska is 29-14-3 vs Iowa, with IA losing more than winning in their trips to Lincoln. Please get your facts straight.

Refs called that consistently at least, MSU got them same call as well but blame the refs, doesn't change the score and it was 3rd down. Two shared conf. titles is a pretty good run.

We also trail Minnesota, Illinois and Purdue but lead the MSU series, so all time series has little relevance to the current state of programs. If you said 3-2 since joining the B1G that would have a little more relevance. Too late now though.

Yes, BC MSU is so good. Nebraska beat them. A horrible NE team beat them. They will get rolled playing Alabama. Big 10 is overrated, except OSU who will probably kill ND. I know, MSU beat OSU, due to horrible play calling on OSU's part and not giving their best player the ball.

We will see.

Yep, in a series that goes back to 1891.

And to think people accuse Nebraska fans of living in the past.
Why weren't we having this Big Bro - Little Bro conversation LAST YEAR? Is it all of a sudden "a thing" now? Win a few more and we'll talk.

Lighten up Francis. I didn't say anything about Big Bro-Little Bro. I was responding to 29-14. The 1990s teams or the 1890s teams, either way they have no relevance today.

You have to admit, the game in 1896 was an epic battle.

We should go back to playing the game in Omaha or Council Bluffs like in those epic games of the 1890's. We were 4-4-2 in those games. Unfortunately, we had a pretty rough stretch from 1903-1941.

Nebraska is also saying their one trip to the B10 Championship Game was very similar to ours. Oh wait, they got beat 70-31 by Wisconsin...yes 70 points allowed by the Black shirts. Black shirts...that's hilarious...pink shirts maybe. They gave up 545 yards rushing in that game...Black shirts...lol. Why would you even want to have a name for a defense that gave up 55 to Purdue this year. Seriously, their defense has been awful for a long time, especially in Big Games.

Serious, what Nebraska fans have said this ???? Hate when stuff is made up. Only comparisons would have been when we played Texas in the 2009 CCG and lost on the last play of the game in a controversial call during the end of the game.

I felt the same that night as many of you Felt after the MSC CCG.My Iowa buddy even mentioned to me now I know how you felt in 2009.

You are about to become the first 5-8 team in the history of the NCAA and you are here running your mouth?

Speaking of the past Nebraska has had only 3 losing seasons since 1962. Callahan has 2 and now this year with Riley
Since Fry arrived look how many losing seasons has Iowa had ?

Good idea, to bad there isn't a Jerry Dome in the middle.

Thought this was interesting.

The night before the big game, Iowa nearly backed out. Sorry. Team members didn’t have cash to pay railroad fare and there was no money in the bank.

Fortunately, halfback Will Larrabee’s father was the former governor. He had a little influence. Larrabee made a call to a professor and secured a $200 loan. They were on their way to Omaha.

This article was in the OWH on Thanksgiving morning that tells the story of the first game.

There is some history behind this new accruing rivalry.

I got banned from Nebraska's board for "rules violations". I said that they "didn't have that 3rd string QB excuse anymore" when in came to losing to the Hawkeyes in Lincoln, NE. I also crashed an Iowa-bashing thread by saying "You'll be the greatest 5-8 team in the history of college football". I just have one question; Why are you Cornhuskers still HERE on an Iowa board anyways? Do you feel the need to pound your chest over your 5-7 team making a bowl game? Why don't you migrate to the left coast UCLA board and tell them all how great you are. (Were).

It looks like Nebraska ducked some of the good Howard Jones teams in the 20s and the Evasheski teams in the 50s. Thankfully we didn't play in the 60s and 70s. If the series had continued from 83-91 there would have been some fun games. 92-98 not so much.

I get that Nebraskans only like to talk about the past but even I have to cut them off when they start bragging about how good they were in the 1700's. Then there's always THAT Nebraskan that claims he was there the day they beat the local Indians 7-2.

I mean, come on, you dipsh#ts do realize that you'd have to be around 250 years old to have been at that game.
