They must be solid! Picking up a Big Ten win on the road tonight.

Kidding, they are not good. However I've got to hand it to Illini fans and students like never before. I read that last week when the played in the Barn they had a strong contingent of the Orange Krush there. Pretty impressive given how average they've been for so long. They also have pulled out some close games and can hit shots. There's just been too many bad Iowa performances in that building for me to ever feel very comfortable about it.

I expect a tough trip for us. First IL hates Iowa so we'll get their best effort. Second Hill and Nunn will probably match up against Utoff and Jok. That could be interesting.

Nunn didnt finish the game with that hip injury.. Wonder if that will play a factor this weekend.. My guess is Iowa -8 for a spread.

Doesn't look like they have much of a bench either, hopefully the Hawks can wear on them a bit.

They've got gunners that if they are hot can really hurt you. They have size too. They lack depth, but this could be a trap game if we are thinking Indiana.

Iowa needs to keep doing what they did against PSU, play great defense and get baskets before their defense sets up. Illannoy has talented players, so a good start would really help.

If Hill guards Uthoff most of the game then it's likely that Uthoff goes for 40+. Illannoy will be the worst defensive team that Iowa plays in the B1G.

Funny how some people were ragging on Iowa for only winning by 14 at Rutgers, and now some folks are impressed that Illini won there in triple OT...

If Iowa loses @ Illinois, maybe they aren't deserving of a Big Ten title.

As I recall, history at East Lansing was pretty bad for Iowa...until they went in there and destroyed the Spartans by 17.

I'm not worried about Illinois. But as some posters have noted, the Hawkeyes haven't played very well the last three games. That's the concern. Uthoff is definitely in a slump, and overall Iowa seems to have hit a wall. That's gonna happen to most teams at some point. The fact that Iowa has won 2 of 3 in spite of that is the good news. Get by Illinois any way they can, then get it back together for Indiana.

The Hoosiers are hot, but maybe it's time for them to hit the wall.

They have a short bench and just played 3 OT's, Press them all game long, Wear them out!

Yep.

Every starter for Illinois played 43+. The 4 reserves played 47 minutes total out of a possible 275. Those reserves scored 13 points total out of 110.

I'm no college basketball expert...but my amateur prediction for Sunday's game would be Iowa very, very big.

Iowa has hit a wall? We are 9-1 in the conference and just won 2 games in blow out fashion. We were up by 29 points and up by 26 points. Our defense is rock solid. I don't see a wall being hit.

This. They jack a lot of shots and can burn you, but we're going to be one of the better defensive teams they've seen. I think we wear them down. There's got to be some fatigue after that triple overtime win over mighty Rutgers.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they gave us all we could handle, but if I were predicting, I'd say Iowa by 10+

That's just it. We're so good that we can hit a wall and still win!

They will not be phased playing in Champaign. Just another road game where they will give their best effort. They believe they can win anywhere!

@IL will be tougher than PSU at home. They have some weapons that can hurt us that I'm sure Fran will mention in his presser. But IL will have its hands full with JU and Jok. If Uhl and Wagner come to play like they did Sunday, it could get ugly for IL.

Don't think the seniors will allow this to be a trap game. @IN will be the toughest game on paper left on our schedule.

Gross will keep that team in it. He's one of the best coaches in the big ten and he alone is worth probably 10 points to the Illini based on his superior strategy and personnel moves...wait, I can't even type this with a straight face.

You had me worried for a second there...
