There aren’t a limited amount of spots/conference.

That said spots 4-9 in the conference are pretty much up for grabs. So it does matter as far as seeding in the BTT

Only for seeding, which of course getting off that 8/9 line could be significant, you'd think. Of course regardless what we do when we get there is the only thing that matters. Iowa last season is a perfect example. Hawks finally get a really good seeding, and then piss down their legs against the ducks.......
