In what 100 year period would you live?

That's actually a really good one.
I often wondered had I been alive when Jesus was on the earth and witnessed his miracles would i believe He was the son of God? Easy to sit here and say of course I would. But with the religious climate of the day it would have been interesting to say the least.

If you meet Him, you can ask: "Jesus, are the rumors about you true?" ;)

My draft # was 287… short of an invasion of the west coast, I wasn’t being drafted..
Draftees were being sent over within 6 months of induction….I was born in ‘49… TET offensive was during my Freshmen year (1968?) (maybe sophomore year) and that is when Viet Nam really got hot…
It was hot before then. The American public was just not aware of it.

We moved to Japan in February 1963. I assure you it was ramping up then, with the real escalation in 1965.

Listen to “Lyndon Johnson told the nation”, Tom Paxton.

I can explain for hours. The base I lived on was SAC, TAC and MAC.

I'm happy with the present day. I like to drink Miller Lite and water. What did everyone drink in the 1800s? Wine? Everyone had to walk around hungover and thirsty.

If I was born more than 200 years ago I wouldn't have seen shit, as glasses were not widely available and I'm blind as a bat. For those who would like to live in the distant past, I hope you have perfect vision and a natural resistance to disease.

I would have thrived living off prostitutes, tobacco, and booze settling the old west. Dead at 26 wouldn’t have been so bad.

I’d pick to be born today and see the next 100 years though. Will be easy to live that long with money and the world is going to be radically different.

While playing guitar and singing this song for the garage drunks and camp fire folks, Mr. JustSayOV has been known to change the lyrics to "and hung his d*ck outside his paints, for all of those girls to feel"

There were no water treatment plants back then. You risked illness by drinking out of streams or had you had to boil your water. Or you drank wine and ale all day.
Seriously bro? You really think people didn’t drink water on the regular until we had water treatment plants?

Lots of periods in time I’d like to visit, but wouldn’t want to live then.

I think things like indoor plumbing and modern conveniences and advanced health care are pretty cool.

I always say this, if you’re wanting to live in a timeframe before ours: imagine living in a society where nobody brushed their teeth. Ever.

Likely anytime after vaccines were common place and survival rates much higher to adulthood. That will also be extremely dependent on where you are located.

Where are you guys getting these facts?

I heard recently on a podcast about flouride millions of GI’s we’re denied entry in the army in WWI and WWII because the standard was you had to have six pairs of teeth one on top of the other… and they didn’t have them.
