I was wondering how much effect the injuries to key players made on the outcome? the loss of TS on our side and Clement on Wisky seemed big IMO. They could t run and we couldn't take any big shots downfield . Those injuries effectively cancelled each other out. That said I think the concussion to their leading receiver made it that much tougher on Stave . And bottom line he couldn't get it done. A lot of bad mistakes for a 5th year senior. Just wondering if anyone had thoughts on this?

Iowa's left tackle was out and our DE is still banged up but played well.

Losing Erickson was a big hit for Wiscy. They haven't had Clement all season so have had plenty of time to backfill.

Bottom line, injuries are a part of the game. I thought this was a hard fought game and the team with the fewest mistakes won.

While it would not have changed the outcome of the game, Badgers lost starting RT Hayden Biegel during the week and had to insert redshirt frosh Jacob Maxwell . This further weakened the already challenged Oline.
In addition to Erickson, a talented TE Austin Traylor also went out with a shoulder injury during the game.

Iowa is also essentially without their #1 TE. Duzey lead the B1G in receptions among TEs.

We won in spite of Wisc conrolling....the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball...arguably, as we shut down the run completely, they shut down the pass. It was a great game, but I gotta tell you I had given up a couple times. Our defense sure had a Norm Parker feel to it yesterday.
