Injury Updates on Koch (was hospitalized?) & Payton + Traore has a “bad sprain” & should be back hopefully in the next week (Dec 3) or two (Dec 10)

Guess what. What are you guessing. I’ve seen Payton shoot us right out of games. And Pryce seems slow and a huge defensive liability. Both shoot at will and have sub-par handles. Streaky without game flow at times.
If you’re projected to be at worst a 2nd round draft choice and an all-big ten performer you’re pretty good whether you’re impressed or not.

First off those NBA draft projections are hardly set in stone, and that was after last year. The rest of that book has not yet been written...
Wasn't really my point - the poster said neither of the Sandfort's impressed him. I said at least Payton has done enough to warrant a little respect. Shooting the ball with a bad wrist isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world to do and many in his position would have shut it down so they didn't look bad. That alone deserves some respect.

I may respect the fact that he went out and gave effort to play. Im not sure I respect that fact that he took 13 threes given his injury, when it was obvious he was struggling. At some point you have to figure out thats not helping. And as I said thats as much on Fran as it is on him..

Fair enough.

Thats great and all that he fought through the injury, just not sure thats helping your team when the guy (and his coach) knows he's got an injury in his shooting wrist and he goes 1 for 13 from three point. Sorry Fran, buts thats not a good job as the head coach either......
I agree with this.

If you’re limited due to injury, then you are probably doing a disservice to your team by continuing to perform poorly.

Fran played just 8 players yesterday. 7 played 16 or more minutes. Brauns, however, only played 4 minutes.

Hopefully we get Traore & Koch back soon!

Minutes last night vs N'w:
38: Josh
35: Payton
33: Brock
32: Owen

24: Drew
18: Pryce
16: Ladji
4: Even

I never thought I'd say this but I think I'd rather have seen Mulvey in the second half then Dembele. At least he gives good energy, and he's more of a threat on the block, and on the glass.

Still early
We’re a quarter of the way into the season.

He had 0 pts and 1 rebound in 16 minutes last night. He has only averaged 38% fg and 3 rb a game against cupcakes.

At this point, Dembele is just a warm body. He offers nothing. Are we really going to give him half the season to figure something out?
