In a couple generations football will not be a college sport. When that time comes the bottom falls out of all of this and nobody will give a crap.

Basketball will never be the giant tv cash cow football is.

Schools like uni will drop a bunch of women's sports since football is no longer there to weigh on scholarship levels. Basketball can easily be funded by all schools without big money rolling in.

Nobody gives a rats ass about any sport outside men's football and basketball. The rest of the sports could just play regionally against all schools of any size.
