Interesting take on relignment of multiple conferences

If you have FIVE conferences with 16 teams, how do you have playoffs? I mean, I guess it could be like the NCAA basketball tourney where you have 5 auto qualifiers and then a committee picks the other 3 at large which would always be 1 SEC, 1 Big Ten, and somebody else for money's sake.

This is a terrible article and you should be ashamed for linking to it.

Not only are the ideas terrible and completely unrealistic, they colored the wrong half of Iowa orange.

I saw this earlier today and it is absolute garbage. Cincy is never joining the B1G just like Charlotte and Memphis aren't going to the SEC. Those are BigXII type schools. The B1G and SEC will poach from the ACC and BigXII during the next round of conference realignment. There will be 4 power football conferences when it is all said and done and the BigXII will not be one of them. If you're going to do an article like this why not spend the time to do it right?

ND is joining the B1G for Hockey as the B1G ramps up its hockey league. That could/should ease the tensions between ND and the B1G...
Yeah well, it doesn't ease my tensions any. I hate the bastards and I really don't like hockey. Does Iowa play hockey? I DON'T THINK SO!!!

That guy misses the entire point of expansion. You're not going to find that many more teams that should be in the P5. Practically no one out there brings anything to the table, and would only suck up a ton of money to get better to make it harder on the current teams. One of the Okie guys just said he didn't want to expand the B12 just to give Cinci $23 million to gain nothing but to make it harder on the Sooners to win the conference.

4 conferences with 16 teams is where it needs to go. ACC and B12 need to merge and drop the weakest programs.
