Investigators to recommend Caitlyn Jenner face manslaughter charge in fatal crash

Sheriff's investigators plan to recommend prosecutors file a vehicular manslaughter charge against Caitlyn Jenner for her role in a fatal car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu last February, officials said Thursday.

Investigators found that Jenner was driving "unsafe for the prevailing road conditions" because her SUV rear-ended a Lexus, pushing it into oncoming traffic, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said.

Jenner was hauling an off-road vehicle on a trailer behind her Cadillac Escalade on Feb. 7 when she steered to avoid cars slowing for a traffic light in front of her on Pacific Coast Highway.

Jenner's SUV rear-ended two cars, pushing a Lexus into oncoming traffic.

The Lexus driver, 69-year-old Kim Howe, was killed when her car was struck head-on by a Hummer.

The case will be presented to prosecutors for final review next week, Nishida said. The district attorney's office will determine what charges Jenner ultimately faces.

If convicted of such a charge, Jenner could face up to one year in county jail.


Jenner's attorney Blair Berk declined comment.

The fatal crash occurred months before Caitlyn Jenner's transition. She was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Olympic decathlon champion and Kim Kardashian's stepfather.

Even with him still having his balls and bat, he still obliterated his own manliness as a person. I say, charge him with self-manslaughter as he basically took the life of his more manly self away, and let the jury decide which prison he goes to.

Not necessarily, but why not do it? Even then, I don't think the two things could be comparable. She isn't asking you to call her Maestro, she is asking you to address her as female, something that isn't even that strange or uncommon. She dresses like a woman, its not like you get confused and forget. I think even you would admit that those demanding to call her HE aren't doing so because it is difficult, or because it is proper, but they do so because they disagree with what she has done and they want to make a statement about it.

Just like people who refuse to call certain specialists "Doctors", they aren't doing it because they forgot, they are doing it to stick it to them.

If convicted and sentenced, he would serve his time in a male facility. However, I would expect that he gets very little jail time. Without any priors I would expect this gets plead down quite a bit and he gets a large fine and long probation period with some significant community service. His other issue will be a civil action by the family of the driver that was killed.

Did you care whether Dolezal was black or not before it came out? If you had met her on the street, what do you think you would have labeled her as? Does it matter?
