Iowa 9-0 for first time since 2009

This is absolutely F###### stunning! When you hear things like 'first time since 2009' you realize that isn't all that long ago. What a way to get noticed and push the Iowa brand again to dizzying heights! This time the lightning is a lot easier on the nerves.
I thought the game today was a thing of beauty. We were pushed by Howard, then found a way to shut him down. Key catches by playmakers and CJ Beathard along with our defense had the ESPN announcers talking nonstop about playoffs, Sunday players on D and the reality that this team is good. Another incredible day for Iowa football.

Just enjoying the ride! Thing is, no matter what happens the rest of the way, it will be a special season on all accounts. This is the kind of momentum we can keep riding through next season too. Wonder what the pundits will say if we back this up with another run like this next year.
I was inside Kinnick in 85 against Michigan...as well as 2009 against NW...talk about polar opposite feelings walking out. These type of seasons don't come around too often. Considering Iowa had lost the last 7 games I've attended over the course of the past 10 years, I told myself before the season started I was staying the hell away this year...I'm sticking to it despite how much I would like to be in Kinnick next weekend. Have fun everyone, these types of seasons are rare and should be enjoyed to the max.

They'll probably speak more favorably of us because of the perceived "stronger" schedule....
I know Ed Cunningham likes to hear his own voice, but he is always very prepared and understands both teams very well.
I had no clue, before the game, that Indiana had a solid offensive line, and during the game, we got very few sacks and didn't disrupt the line of scrimmage much.

Fair question but I lived in Des Moines until moving to Nebraska in 2010. Still watch some games in the Dyersville area with family.
And it would be absolutely cool after a win against Minny this coming week that Iowa would be 10-0 for the first time in its history in the regular season, along with Beathard extending his career record start at 11-0 as starting QB too....
Saying things like "this is fun" and "enjoying the ride" just doesn't adequately express what this is...it is a dizzying, "is this real life" kind of awesome. I find myself counting down the minutes till gameday...starting on Monday morning. Being able to watch the Hawks do what they are doing, the way they are doing it right now is the best.
OK, perhaps have Desmond King extend his Hawkeye season record for interceptions with a few more too. And maybe have a day where he gets a whole load of punt return yardage to take back the record that Likely of Maryland took from Kinnick earlier this year. Had hoped that King would have done that a week ago, but even if it is one of the games left, that would help the party too!
One thing that hopefully continues, that won't allow that to happen................ Iowa has been ahead for most of the year, in all games. Kirk will NOT let King or anyone else run amok while holding onto a lead in the 2nd half. I know employment is like the 1970s, but it has been a long-time, since Iowa Football resembled the 1970s.
