The only positive on offense, Williams extended his hitting streak to 14 games I think. Bullpen only gave up one hit.

I don’t know about Baumann. It seems like the same struggles he’s had for two years now. Free bases and then it seems like batting practice. In game one, Irvine goes three innings walking five, four hits, and three runs. We will see what Davitt brings to the table tomorrow morning, but I’m concerned about out starting pitching. It’s obviously all hands on deck. I am hoping we see Hunter Lee, Adam Ketelsen, and Leonard if need be. I was very encouraged by Hunter Lee last year.

Yeah it doesn't seem like a real strong starting rotation. Really going to miss Dreyer this year. Hopefully the depth of the bullpen will help, maybe one of the younger guys could emerge as a solid starter.

Typically Iowa’s at least had a strong Friday guy, but I’m not sure I see that. Maybe Wallace surprises me. Of course Dreyer being injured hurts, things would look better with Dreyer, Wallace, and then whoever.

Guzek had a really strong year in his summer league had some really solid starts, I wonder if they'd give him a shot.

Plenty of four game weekends this year for that. Especially if Iowa continues to get starts like today.

Iowa falls 11-4 today and drops the series 1-3. Iowa’s pitching, starting especially, was bad. Iowa has a 6.09 ERA and 1.79 WHIP overall which isn’t going to lead to much success. Some guys we thought would be dialed in offensively really struggled. Maybe it’s due to the pause in the program for what two weeks or so? I know one thing, I think we’ll see the offense come around, and I hope the Starting pitching is at least average Because if not Iowa is going to take it on the chin this year.

Yeah the starters ERA was over 9 and they pitched 14.1 innings, not good. Offense wasn't much better either hitting less than .200. Norman didn't have a hit at all, after how he hit this past fall I was really hoping he would carry that over to the spring. Lets just hope Michigan is really good.

Perfect year to take it on the chin. Conference only Covid year, conference will only get two teams probably to regionals. So it’ll save me from being enraged should they go 31-13 and are one of the last teams out due to lack of quality non conference.
