Iowa does have some guys wrestling in Ames today

Looked like Rotert over Hansen 6-5 in OT,. Pfarr of Minny has destroyed Rotert a couple times this year.

Anyone know why Wenger forfeited to Long? I was pretty excited to see the how it turned out...

It goes down in the room all the time and it's not close...at all. He's improving like a D1 guy in an NAIA room because he has an absolute hammer to practice with.

Personally, I'm going to enjoy Stroker getting his ass handed to him by an Iowa guy for the next 4-5 years. Just going to be real sweet.
Ha-ha. I kinda like Stroker now--good, tough kid. But...yeah.

Not really sure about how everything played out when those two were being recruited last year, but if TnT backed off of Stroker because they had to choose one or the other...I'd say they picked the right one.

I don't know if Tom and Terry were interested in Stroker to start with, so there may not have been a choice to be made.

I will be interested to see if he gets a match on Friday at 165
I don't think making 165 will be a big problem for paddock. He was there for universities(Greco). Probably a case of weighted something on one scale but the other scale said something different.

Take it for what it is worth, but Downey tweeted that he's not 100% and I think I saw some other tweets from people observing that he didn't look like healthy.

Stroker MFF out of the tournament, so there might be something hurt with him. He wrestled 2 matches on the backside before pulling out. Still a great tourney by Kemerer, he is every bit as advertised. I hope he is the first of many Young Guns to head this way.

I'm sure that Downey is injured but it is becoming curious how he seems to make it through every freestyle tournament fine, but there is always some excuse in folkstyle tournaments when he takes a loss. Stroker has had some pretty serious knee issues at a young age. Hopefully he can stay healthy in college

This. I hope they both have healthy careers going forward.

BTW, did anyone notice that Downey listed his team as "Winning." Doesn't seem appropriate, given the results.

Congrats to Kemerer. Ran through a gauntlet of very tough competition and scored bonus points against two NCAA qualifiers including last year's #8 seed.

Kemerer's ability to score takedowns and ride good competition is encouraging for bonus point potential at NCAAs in the future. If he ever develops a go to turn from top, he is just going to blow the doors off people.

You mean like a cradle?
