how does it work in Iowa - re: qualifying for Fargo and CD/JR Duals?

wondering why guys like Teske and Thomsen didn't wrestle and if that means they are out for the above events.

There are multiple qualifiers for Fargo. Placing at regionals, winning tri-state early tourney @ ft madison, top 4 at state, you can petition on for various reasons, also I think if you're a previous AA at Fargo from previous year you are invited back.
If you've already qualifed a lot of guys won't go to state. This is how it was back when I wrestled 15 years ago.

Ft. Madison is no longer a qualifier. It hasn't been for maybe 10 years. Cadets and Juniors have to place in the top 3 at State or place in the top 4 in a regional. I'm not sure about returning AA being invited back. Pretty sure you have to win your weight at state for Cadet Duals not sure how they determine it for Juniors. Would Thomsen have qualified by AA at Filas?
