The governor has ordered all flags at Iowa government facilities lowered to honor U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Scalia was found dead in his room at a West Texas resort ranch Saturday morning.

Gov. Terry Branstad ordered the flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise Monday until sunset. The governor's directive applies to all U.S. and state flags under the control of the state. Individuals, businesses, schools, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the same length of time.

He's an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. This should be a nation wide thing. . .

According to Wikipedia the flag should be flown at half mast until the day Justice Scalia is interred.

I can't stand Branstad, but there is nothing wrong with this. I'd question him if it was a Dem appointed Justice and he didn't order them to be flown at half staff.
