So Wis, Minn, & ISU have only combined to beat the mighty Hawkeyes 41 times in the last 40 years?!?!

Sometimes even I forget how pathetic all 3 of those programs have been in my lifetime. That’s embarrassing.

I guess Iowa has kind of been a power house in that time frame. But still.

Nebby wants to be like the Badgers? Hawks own the West. Also, since 1977, Iowa has these records against teams from the BiG West:

Iowa is:

27-12 against Northwestern.
26-15 against Minnesota.
22-12 against Purdue.
19-11 against Illinois.

Since Nebraska joined the BiG:
4-3 against Nebraska.

Iowa is the Heir apparent to the BiG West. FYI.

I think you are trying too hard to make Iowa look like a dominant program. Hopefully with the uptick in recruiting, we can start winning 9-10 games annually - then won’t need to dig up ancient stats for respect.

Iowa has big problems with their offense. Pass drop u. That wont continue though after someone hires coach copeland away.

I am one of the tiny minority who DOESN'T hate UW. I have great respect for Alvarez and what they have built there. I actually was at their game against Michigan in 90 when he was getting started there. Walked past him before the game. I wished him luck and he smiled and said thank you.
As good as Barry is as AD, you can't guarantee things will continue as they have. There has been a LOT of coaching turnover there. Chryst is riding the wave that had been building there. I dislike Bielema but have to give him credit for doing a lot of the building there.

Yes i over stated that a bit. I would really like to see the hawk offense improve but with ferentz in charge and BF on the way i just dont see very many west div titles happening. Without a super human game that year making ten points stand up in the wisky game and others no west title that year either. Also other programs seem to me to be making more progress toward getting future west titles than iowa. For instance iowa needs illinois recruits. It is not going over to good what happened with brock. Frost is making progress in the west with iowa western. It kind of looks like iowa is in a pinscher battle. Iowa puts QB in the pros but iowa QB are on their backs to much. And their lineman and tights ends go to the pros. The only way to explain it is that the defense knows what coming far to often. And that is because less then the best game day coaching. So i am slowing becoming an ex hawk fan. The offense is maddening to watch. Iowa recruiting tactics with their no visit policy and stuff just dont give me much hope of winning the west very often.

That is dominating those schools. Ironically that’s the exact year I was born. We’ve had a lot of bragging rights in the last 40 years!

I like BA, saw him coach a Mason City High team against Dowling in 79ish at the old Valley Stadium in West Des Moines. .
