As others have noted, some need to come to terms that Fran will be the coach next year. Unless the U of I President and/or significant large donors oush Barta to make a move, he wont.

It's actually worse than that OP.
Look, I'm ready to move on from Fran too. He's had 9 years - Iowa pretty much knows what it has and what it gets from Fran.
But, move on to what exactly?
Everyone in the B!G has hired a new coach since Fran started in 2010 except PU, Mich & Mich St.
Fran and Iowa outperformed all of them in 2019 except two - Maryland and Wisky. The rest are PSU, Rutgers, Nebby, Minny, NW, Illinois, OSU and Indiana. All finished below Iowa in the standings and all have fewer total wins than Iowa.
Yeah, I know - hire and experienced P5 coach that can recruit. Like, Iowa is the only one to want that.
