Iowa now has the #1 offense per kenpom.

Wow. That’s really really impressive. I’ll have to admit I had the pitchfork at the door after DePaul.

A lot of people did. There were a lot of people on this site saying 14 wins and bottom of barrel in Big Ten.

They are playing like I envisioned coming into the year with an offense that is running a lot more efficiently and smoothly going through Garza (who has far exceeded my hopes) and Wieskamp. The ball no longer sticks.

I'll take my serving of crow. Very happy to be wrong about this team. Lots of awesome surprises. Could see why jbo would want to stick it out

Defense showed up against ISU, too.

Sure, we were helped by them not hitting outside 3s in the early going, but Toussaint seems like he's everywhere out there on defense when playing zone - gets out to guys quickly to rush shots.

CJ and Weiskamp were money from 3 when we needed them. We're gonna miss the 3 threat from Bohannon if he shuts it down for the season; having 3 guys who can hit from downtown any time is tough to guard. And a guy like Garza can set up the inside/outside game all night long.

There are over 300 D1 basketball teams, so 11 games into the season, Iowa being No. 1 in offense is really something special. May it continue.
