Iowa St or Illinois?

Good question. I would say ISU. I think they have more speed and talent overall. With ISU though they seem underwhelm when not playing Iowa. I would say if they played like they did against the Hawks they are 10 points better.

Easy choice - Illinois. They will win a couple more games. On the other hand, isu may have reached their season win total. The only game where they may have a chance is against the train wreck that is the T-Sips of Austin.

Jesus, how do playing different opponents in the future decide who's better? Remind me not to ask you for any common sense.

I would guess that Illinois is better using nearly any metric available. A side from actually watching them play each other, it would really hard to make a case for ISU being better.

Sagarin has Illinois ahead of ISU, but ISU was a road game and Illinois is at home, and that makes ISU the more difficult win.

I think ISU is probably the better team, based solely on the fact that they at least had a spine playing their road game this year against a quality team, while Illinois was absolutely horrible playing their road game, against a team of probable similar quality, possibly less.

I think Illinois will be a lot like many of Iowa's teams have been over the years - a rather tough out at home, but extremely vulnerable on the road.

I don't think the question had anything to do with where the game is on Iowa's schedule. The question was "who is the better team." Not "which game is tougher for Iowa."

I agree, in relation to difficulty for Iowa in 2015, ISU was likely the tougher game, but that isn't what we are talking about.

Illinois is the better team. Winning in Ames hasn't been a difficult for many folks the last several years.

I'd have to lean Illinois. Illinois won its 2 close games, while ISU folded at crunch time in its 2 close games and lost.

Who's the better team? They seem similar.
Illinois is a better team whith much better talent. The better discussion would be who is better between Illinois State and the Cyclones. If they played I'd take the Redbirds.
