Statistically speaking, I think Iowa needs a rotation of Wallace, Bauman, and Davitt moving forward. The numbers don’t really lie at this point to me.
Wallace: 2.76 ERA, 1.35 WHIP (a little high), 70K, 30BB, 2.33K:1 BB
Baumann: 3.89 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 37 K, 12 BB, 3K:1BB
Davitt: 4.54 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 34 K, 11 BB, 3K: 1BB
Irvine 5.77 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, 37 K, 25 BB, 1.48K: 1BB
The numbers ultimately don’t lie to me. All have done great things this year, and will continue to do so. I’m a big WHIP and K:BB guy as opposed to ear. If a guy runs at 5 ERA, but has a 1.1 WHIP, greater than a 2:1 K:BB then I’m apt to say things will work themselves out.
