Iowa State fans annoy me

We were fairly certain that you would shift gears and try and change the subject so you could rant on. You are one "interesting" poster!

Just as sure as I was a clown fan would insist of a selective time frame.

Someday maybe isu will actually be as awesome as clown fans think they are. Then again a UAB, errrr. the refs come along and smack them back to reality.

I would keep trying to convince myself as well, if I were you..... LOL!
So tell me about all the final fours ISU has been to. New Years Day bowl games? Bowl wins?

Tell me how relevant ISU is on a national scale. Tell me who, outside of ISU fans, give a squat about ISU. Go on.....I'm listening.

I want to hear about all the great things ISU has done, and how they are a blueblood and national powerhouse. C'mon.....let's hear it.

Clown fans can sing about their selective time frames but actually asking them to bring facts to their delusions of grandeur simply isn't acceptable and won't be tolerated. They will go round and round with pages of posts and never actually answer the question.

Just watch.

This entire thread just oozes Hawkeye fan jealousy and it's pretty embarrassing. ISU is having a good year and they are solid in the post season lately. They have every right to be proud of what their team is doing and Iowa fans should be able to recognize that. Whether you like ISU or not, to which end I am not a fan by any means, you can still appreciate when a team is doing something right. Jealousy is a terrible thing.

I wondered how long it would take for Herkyfan to emerge with his only rebuttal to anything ISU this year: "78-64".

Here are some numbers:

8 (maybe 9) = the number of wins Morris, Thomas, and Long have in their conference tournament in their careers.

0 = number of wins Jok has in his conference tourney.

1 = the only conference tourney loss ISU has had was to Oklahoma last year. The same Oklahoma that went to Final Four. I think it was by 1 or 2 points.

0 = the number of conference tourney losses ISU has had to a lower seed

I know, I know 78-64. Your freshmen beat our Seniors. I know, I know UAB. Ancient history at this point.

I still maintain Iowa fans would sacrifice a loss to ISU in December to still be playing in March in a tournament not named NIT. Beating Iowa is nice, but playing in NCAA is better.

Am I wrong about that?

So back to selective time frames. Raise your hand if you saw that coming.

I didn't expect our freshmen to make the tourney this year. I do love how pissy it makes clown fans knowing our 5th best win was over your awesome seniors.

Well, let's see. Fran Fraschilla is a big fan, and Jay Bilas and even Dick Vitale have had Good things to say on a regular basis. Now I know we haven't caught the attention of Collin Cowherd, but you never know. Hopefully one day we will get to play in a January Bowl game regularly like Arkansas State has been. And Just maybe that Final 4 comes this year.

"Hopefully"...."One day".......

Dick Vital has had good things to say? You mean the same Dick Vitale that gushes over EVERY team??

Pretty sad when ISU hopes to be as good as Arkansas State in football. Har har.

ISU will ALWAYS be little brother to Iowa. Always. Yes, there is no reason why they shouldn't be proud of their school. They should be....just like any fan should be proud of their school. But it is comical how they come over to this board in droves looking for a pat on the head or some sort of "good for you" acknowledgement for things that don't mean diddly on a national scale. Well.....good luck with that. You are only embarrassing yourselves and living up to the "little brother" syndrome you all have.

Iowans by and large are an insufferable bunch of dipsh*t sports fans. If I weren't burdened with caring about Hawkeye athletics I'd relish being away from all you knuckleheads in a part of the country that couldn't give two licks about any college from a state that starts with 'I.' If I didn't bleed black and gold I wouldn't necessarily hate both sides equally as much as forget about them immediately.

But alas, here I am. And here they are.
So screw that second-rate ag school with their little brother mentality, their corner-cutting basketball program, and their subsidized train-wreck of a football program that leeches off the success and finances that in a perfect world would funnel only to Iowa City. Oh, to be Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Nebraska... I hope little bro loses every game in every sport until their sorry-ass campus gets swallowed up by the void of irrelevance from whence they came. The Big 12 can't die soon enough.

Careful, those of us that post rational things on a message board are referred to as "trolls".

I have some clone coworkers who seem to be normal. We sort of have an understanding that I won't talk smack and they won't either. There are a couple of guys who are insufferable, but I have found through the years that every fan base has this.

There are a lot of things that annoy me about them, but i realize most of it is because I'm biased.

Look. Little brother syndrome is borne through the fact that CF posters and some fans spend more time on Iowa than ISU. It is unreal. More posts on Iowa losing to Indiana than ISU making the Big 12 finals. More posts on Iowa losing the Outback Bowl than any ISU football game except, yep you guessed it, the Iowa game. It is not only jealousy it is outright vitriol and hatred from some of them. I like a lot of the fans and play a lot of golf and have beers with many high level donors and they are absolutely embarrassed about the CF Board Iowa obsession. I mean JFC how do you have 20K posts on a Clone board related to the Hawkeyes? I would not be surprised if the admins there pull the reigns back on CYTwins and others.

And lost at wrestling and women's basketball. The only 4 sports ISU cares about and they got crushed. But a storm is brewing and they are raising the standard.

Cytwins only posts what the isu culture stands for. Even if the admins reign him in there are thousands to step right in and take over.

Good point. I just know for a fact he embarrasses high level Clone boosters. And even worse he flat lies on Iowa sports and actually himself. Brandon lives in Carroll but says Ankeny and he does have douchebag personalized plates. I won't go further as the info came from gridiron Clone friends. To say they think CyTwins is a total douche loser would be an understatement.

And real big donors and gridiron members want me to out him so they don't have to. They are beyond embarrassed with his shtick.

Good point. I just usually don't do the boards much. I just found it weird being from Ankeny that this CyTwins said he was from Ankeny and the gridiron guys who cannot stand him said his name is Brandon from Carroll, unemployed, and embarrasses them beyond belief. They say his obsession with Iowa does nothing but prove little brother. Just weird and sad.

No I wasn't kidding, that's crazy. I had a similar experience with believe it or not a crazy UNI fan. He made up a twitter handle and was tweeting crazy racist stuff during the Ulis recruitment and what not. He hates Iowa more than he loves UNI. He actually never even graduated from UNI. For some reason dude just really hated that I graduated from both Iowa and UNI and cheer for both. Dude was/is nuts. Anyways, I let it die because I felt Iike he might have issues the way he was going after me personally and I have a family. But I know where he lives and works just to be safe.

I root against isu in every football game but for some reason I'm rootingfor isu. NNot even close to how invested I will be with Iowa in the NIT but since we beat isu this year I feel I can root for them. Feels wierd but ill check with a Dr if it doesn't go away.

Awesome. Hawk fan starts a thread saying he has distaste for isu's fans because they act like douches. Then magically isu fans flock to this site and how do they respond? Just like douches.

Hold on to that feeling. Hopefully you can say that Iowa beat a Final 4 team

These are the delusions that my original post was referring to. The Big 12 as a conference has a lot of work to do. 5-5 in SEC challenge doesn't show much. ISU as we all know lost to the Hawks. IU beat KU, Maryland beat Okla State and KansasState. The Big 12 tournament win was great for ISU, but to make the Final Four is a HUGE leap.
I understand the excitement, believe me, I wish the Hawks were in the NCAA tournament, but what makes you think, just for a second, that you should be talking Final Four?

Clowns in final four?

Hilarious.
