Iowa State-SDSU game cancelled

Do they refund tickets? Charge money for a game that didn’t happen ?

I know most sports ticket warn of the possibility of date and time changes but flat out cancel?

I went to game. Paid money to watch about 10 plays.

Could cost ISU bowl eligibility.

The two players that were on one game suspensions will return next week. The other four were suspended indefinitely so not clear. They weren’t going to play much anyway.

I'm fine with the suspensions thing. We'd do it too. The punishment is that you only get to play in 11 games instead of 12. Not that you don't get to play SDSU. They were held out of warm ups and didn't get to run out with the team. Whatever.

I really hope we don't make this a thing with ISU fans. Jesus christ. They are supposed to miss one game. If they only play 11 games, they missed one game. If the SDSU game is somehow rescheduled, re-suspend them for that game.

All stats are taken away and the game cancelled, thus no game was ever played yet the suspensions count.

Single game tickets say on them that date and time may be changed without notice.
.
Doesn't say anything about assuming risk that the event is cancelled.

I think if they don't reschedule a replacement game they will have to refund at least the single game ticket buyers.

I might challenge my credit card charge.

The logic Pollard gave after the game for why they’re not suspended next week made no sense. He said it’s not their fault the game was cancelled due to weather. Yet, he went on to say they hope to schedule someone else during their bye week on October 20th. So, he basically said they won’t miss a game since ISU will still play 12 games. Not a good look.

They were to play in one less game than their teammates. If they all play 11 then there is no suspension and your discipline is negotiable. I’m pretty sure Kirk wouldn’t do that.

But they didn’t miss a game, there was no game.
I don't like the technicality. Petty nonsense from a rival. They didn't get to suit up, warm up, or take the field in front of theirfans for the home opener. Their punishment was that they only get to play 11 games and not 12. And then God suspended the rest of the ISU and the SDSU players for one game.

Pollard said they would try to schedule a game during their bye week. So no, that means they’d get to play in 12 games.

I think you should challenge your intelligence for paying money to see ISU play SDSU.

Just auditioning for the Ohio State job for when Smith gets fired.

The basic idea behind the suspensions is that you're punishing players for having done something wrong. How is ISU doing that in this case? Is it really enough that they would have been punished if the game had actually happened?

I guess it's possible our program would do the same if this happened to us, but I honestly think that's very unlikely.

How did these games get cancelled? Was it lightning for several hours? This is football, right?
