You would be incorrect, just read that all 7 suspended players will face the Hawks. Not surprised.I assume all of Iowa State's suspensions will carry over to our game next week.

Hate to say it because I hate the Jack's. ISU dodged a loss.
Honor Before Victory*Iowa State was up 7-0 and I wasn’t worried about losing that game one bit.
Maybe I should get righteously indignant about the suspensions, but I just can’t muster any feeling about it
If Iowa’s game had been cancelled today after starting, I’m pretty sure we would be clamoring for Wirfs and Jackson to be back.
Clowns have a bye oct 20th and nebbie has a bye oct 27th. Not gonna work. Wish these two would have had a bye on the same day just to listen to both teams complain about not wanting to play each other. There is an obvious solution, ISU should play Nebraska
You’re probably right, but they both look to have Dec 1st open.Clowns have a bye oct 20th and nebbie has a bye oct 27th. Not gonna work. Wish these two would have had a bye on the same day just to listen to both teams complain about not wanting to play each other.

Nobody is arguing this...but you can bet they’d still have to serve their time.If Iowa’s game had been cancelled today after starting, I’m pretty sure we would be clamoring for Wirfs and Jackson to be back.
No. Cancelled.Nebraska playing Akron today.
Clones scored in 5 plays last night and then the games was cancelled. SDSU might have scored once during the game and the Clones would have had a nice workout and easy win. Hawks are going to get beat in Kinnick next week.Hate to say it because I hate the Jack's. ISU dodged a loss.
Both coaches claimed it would disrupt preparation for the following week. I agree that it should have been played regardless of how long you wait.I don't know why they aren't either. The game wasn't on real TV so it was all being paid for by ISU/their fans. I would think the money for the bus or plane SDSU chartered would be worth a quick negotiation between the schools. No class on Monday because of the holiday. The attendance would be hurt, but that matters little at this point. Maybe it was seen as potentially too competitive for either school to risk an L if there's an excuse to not play the game. SDSU is probably not winning the Missouri Valley and they'll be looking to get in the FCS playoffs at large. Maybe it's in the contract that SDSU forfeits some of the money if the game is called off and the ISU athletic department just got a minor windfall.
the game was a culmination of a weeks prep that none of the suspended players participated in. Do you folks even have a clue what goes into prep and practice during the week of a game?Wow they're really counting that as their suspension, not a good look for ISU.

If the players were indeed kept out of the weeklong prep, I'm okay with their suspensions being served. Are you sure that's the case though?the game was a culmination of a weeks prep that none of the suspended players participated in. How can the opponent be allowed to play 13 games?
Yes, our coach has integrity. Our guys were suspended for a game. A game that actually happened. That’s why it’s a punishment. It rained and lightning all night...1,000 people are hired on game day for concessions, parking etc. as for suspensions, does anyone here doubt KF would have done the same thing?
We would, but Ferentz would make the suspension roll over, and we know it.If Iowa’s game had been cancelled today after starting, I’m pretty sure we would be clamoring for Wirfs and Jackson to be back.

It's going to be pure comedy seeing ISU try justifying how their guys who were supposed to serve 1-game suspension have served those suspensions when, in fact, ISU has played 0 games.

I hate ISU as much as anyone here, but this line of argument runs hypocritical to me in that Snyder was "suspended" for the bowl game he wasn't medically cleared for and was in play to be a starter yesterday until he messed up again. In faurness, this is a pretty gray area. It is very rare for a game to be cancelled altogether. These things were easier to re-schdule after the season before every conference had a championship game. See 2001 and the Iowa/Isu game being rescheduled due to 9/11.
Let us just agree as Hawk fans that we want to see our guys curb stomp whichever clowns are in uniform Saturday evening.
This would have been DJK's perfect world.Oh so they weren't suspended for the game, only the prep work? Never heard of that before, got a link?
What a joke. The Clown losers had thousands of posts on Kirk and the suspensions and how all Kirk cares about is ISU. That Psycho Twins poster called Kirk racist for the way he handled Snyder versus Wirfs cause Snyder only missed a bowl game. And now a rainout serves as a suspension for ISU? You have got to be kidding me. I mean why don't they just say look it's our biggest game all hands on deck and we will handle internally. Did Pollard really say since the players can't control the weather the suspension is counted as served?! Holy shot he is dumber than ISU posters.

Lordy, Lordy, but the level of moronity here is high. But it's "game week," and even though Hawkeye fans don't care a BIT about Iowa State, they are doing their duty on the internet message boards.
For the few who are acting like rational grownups...
1. I was there last night. Very good crowd; in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it was pretty close to a sellout.
2. Serious bummer to drive 100 miles, watch 4 minutes and 5 seconds of football,, sit for more than two hours watching rain and lightning, then drive 100 miles home in the storm.
3. This gives Iowa a huge advantage next Saturday. Hawks have a game under their belts; Cyclones do not. If the adage about a team improving most between the first and second games, just do the math.
4. This could be a real killer when bowl selection time arrives. Given the ISU schedule, especially the way it's front-loaded, losing a (probable) victory could mean the difference between going somewhere and staying home.
5. The game couldn't have been played today for any number of reasons, most of which have been mentioned here. Nebraska faced the same situation and made the same decision, and since Nebraska is a BiG member, it cannot have been wrong.
6. In the 4 minutes and 5 seconds that they played, ISU looked pretty good. Kempt was 3-3 for 76 yards and a TD.
7. Of all the loony remarks in this thread, the looniest is the idea that fans could -- or should -- get a refund.
paul rhoads teams got worse from week 1 to week 2 wish we still had him.
How you figure that?
They beat Iowa in 2011, 2012, 2014, and were tied with the Hawks in the 4th Quarter of the 2015 season--ya know, the year Iowa went undefeated in the regular season.

Already announced suspensions will count. Hahahaha chicken shits
