This is true. They are playing pretty good defense. Turnovers have been a huge problem but they didn't have that problem last night. They got Tre Jackson back, which also helps. Foster is promising but physically nowhere near healthy, so not seeing much action. They've played better since the K-State game. They're clearly improving, though they had nowhere else to go but up.
Didn't you know, they are a football school!

I didn't mean to imply he was all-anything. He's a guy with some experience. Decent shooter.Tre Jackson plays 33 minutes a game and is averaging 4.5 points. Is he really a difference maker?
I don't watch Moo U games unless they're the only game on (rarely) but they do seem to be playing somewhat better of late. That said, they really had only one direction to go.
You have a good point. And in this case, we came into Austin to play a team that had just put a 29-point ass-whipping on Kansas at Lawrence. They probably weren't peaking for ISU.We lived through this during the Lickliter years. When a team is as bad as Iowa State is, teams are generally not prepared to play them and players are just naturally as prepared to play as if they were playing Texas or Kansas. So teams come out flat. Which is what we have seen to an extent. Baylor slept walk against ISU, and Texas was coming off beating KU by 25 points when they played ISU.
If Prohm can keep ISU playing hard and improving, they will win multiple games. But getting a team to keep paying attention as the losses pile up can be difficult. Even as bad as Iowa was under Lickliter, they never went winless for a conference season.
