The fools who voted for the Orange idiot will regret it. Red state isn't an insulator. In fact, it may be a lightning rod. People relying on SS aren't necessarily poor retirement planners. I know people left in bad financial situations through no circumstances within their control and have only Social Security to survive which is merely starvation resources. And they, and in most cases their spouses paid into the system.
Medicare and Medicaid are systems which share and expend care for the good of the population. To the Right this doesn't make sense. Why should I be forced to care for anyone else?
Or maybe you don't want the America as we know it.
Or the United States as the leader of the free world. I was raised to believe it was important to believe it is. We paid a hell of a price to achieve that stature and have taken pride in being this.
