First off my season tickets finally came in I have been waiting for these forever.

Second, I will be traveling back from Houston on Sept. 10th, plane lands in Chicago at 6pm so I will not be able to make this game. I have them listed on Stubhub but would rather sell them to someone on the board and then no fees for anyone. 2 tickets in section 135 (North End Zone) row 47. I have them listed at $129 each I have a General Parking pass that I will throw in for an additional $50, those are going for $60 on Stubhub.

I would like payment via Chase Quick Pay or Venmo, I will mail them to you for free.

CyCity should be all over this. Normally, Super Bowl tickets cost a lot more than $129 each.

I'm surprised they're that low since it's such a big game for Iowa. Probably put up the ISU posters in the locker room already!

You mean like this poster? Gee between this and how Iowa prices single game tickets it is clear if Iowa has a Super Bowl it isn't with little bro isu.

I'm all for selling tickets for market prices...but if anyone pays more than $20 for a general parking pass, they are insane. You can pay cash the day of the game for $20 for the exact same parking lots. Parking passes don't guarantee a spot...it's just a prepaid pass.

Yeah I was kind of surprised at the prices of the GP passes, I am definitely open to prices for that, more concerned with selling the actual game tickets.

I guess I should have clarified that, Hawkeye price is $129, State price is $999.

The last time ISU played in Iowa City I know it was a sell out. Kudos to you guys.

Remind me again.......you guys sold out the rest of your games that year right? I mean, the games you actually cared about?

Hey Clown, you guys EVER sell out Jack Twice stadium? I know the new additions Jamie made will probably be people dressed up to look like empty seats! ;)

Iowa cares about all their games and even the second halves of games. Probably a good thing isu doesn't count their attendance in the second half.

Let us know when isu exceeds Iowa in football attendance.

This is stupid. The Iowa State/Iowa game sold out because there are a lot of people in the state of Iowa that went to see the game. It means nothing more.

The rest of the games in 2014 didn't sell out because of growing unrest and apathy among the Iowa fan base. That shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

there is something funny about seeing Iowa state fans making shots about posters being put up. I have been to ISU football facilities numerous times and have seen numerous posters about Iowa as well as a poster once commemorating their 1999 victory over Iowa which if you remember was a win over a crappy Iowa team.

And how bout those $125 season tickets at ames? You can literally get season tickets for cheaper than two tix to a single game at Iowa. That is amazing. However I'm sure Jaimie pull hard won't mention that when he starts bragging about ticket sales.

So you need Iowa State fans to sell out. Got it.

Fact is Iowa/isu will be a sellout where ever it's played. Another fact Iowa has sold out a game since 14' isu game with Minnesota last year and will have Michigan already amongst probably more next year. 3rd fact when isu added on last season could only sell out when Iowa and uni, instate schools, played them. Isu played top 10 teams in TCU and okie st plus night game vs Texas and couldn't even get within 5K of max capacity. Iowa plays Purdue 11am game after a snow storm that morning and attendance was more than capacity of jack trice. Last things isu should be talking about is attendance especially with your half full awesome new end zone clown fans were bragging about last year.

You're obviously a dumbass. That's number one.

Number two, Iowa sold out against Minnesota last year.

Last, whether it's Kinnick or Jack Trice, when it comes to the Iowa/Iowa State game, they are almost always going to sell out. It means nothing. Both fan bases will show up to that game.

IIRC the ISU athletic department had a 3 game ticket package with Iowa, Uni, and some other team last year. The tickets were dirt cheap and the games were at the beginning of the year before they started getting handed L's and the weather got cold. They practically give tickets away in Ames just to brag about sell-outs and ticket sales.

It means nothing. Both fan bases will show up to that game.

It means nothing, so Iowa fans consistently attend it more than any other game? Gotcha.

I responded to another tired "this game is their Superbowl but means nothing to us" post. Very few ISU fans dispute this game is important. Primarily because, based on the last 20 years results, we know it is one of our most winnable games.

Many Iowa fans still try to contend they don't care, yet 2 years ago ISU was the only sell out. This year it was the first sell out, later joined by Michigan.

The Michigan game seems like it could be meaningful to you guys this year. Is the sell out a reflection of that, or is it just coincidence? Does it "mean nothing?"

Either way, fans in Iowa consistently support their teams. In 2015, avg attendance for Iowa was 63,142 (89.4% of capacity). ISU was 56,519 (91.9%). Both are among the nation's leaders. That's pretty cool.

I'm done arguing about it. It seems to be important to many Iowa fans to to project that the ISU game doesn't mean anything to them. I find that an odd thing to hold on to, but whatever.

Good luck this season. Looks promising.

Iowa feels the isu game is our third most important home game and has priced single game tickets accordingly. Why do isu fans believe the series between Iowa and isu started in 1996? Seems to me they just want to block out what has occured since 1977.

Yes, sold out the UNI game last year
That's funny because I went from Iowa City after the Iowa game to Ames and got there right at kickoff and a guy gave us 3 free tickets to your sold out game. Real high in demand game obviously.

I've had that happen to me in Iowa City too. Right place right time

I'm only responding to what you are giving me, not other posters.

Trying to point to attendance of an intrastate rivalry game between ISU and Iowa, no matter whose stadium it is in, means nothing more than a lot of people from the state of Iowa attended the game. Last I knew, no one was asking for team affiliation when the tickets went up for sale.

I'm not sure which Iowa fans are telling you the game doesn't mean anything, but they are either lying or in the small minority. Back in the early 1990s after the series had turned into a joke, yes, a lot of Iowa fans were indifferent towards Iowa State, at least in football. Now that Iowa State has made the series competitive, yes, it does matter.

The difference, however, is in attitude. Iowa fans don't view it as a great accomplishment, and are primarily concerned with not having the embarrassment of losing to Iowa State. That's not meant to be a dis, it's just the way it is, because Iowa State is traditionally mediocre at best, so why would Iowa fans do back flips and cartwheels over an Iowa victory over ISU? On the other hand, if Iowa State beats Iowa, you will quite often hear their fans say, especially if the season was bad, "Well, at least we beat Iowa this year." You will never hear an Iowa fan say that about Iowa State. Ever. That's the difference.

I don't know a single fan in 2014 that said "well at least we beat Iowa this year"

You are comparing apples and oranges if you start comparing Iowa vs. ISU attendance figures. According to the cheap prices discussed in this thread for ISU tickets then that would somewhat explain how ISU can get any fans to watch that sub-par football.

You are comparing apples and oranges in comparing Iowa and ISU attendance figures because of ISU's dirt cheap ticket pricing just to get people in Ames to watch sub-par cyclone football.
