RU has talent.
Bailey, Harper, Grant, Sommerville is a very good frosh class.
Jeremiah Williams(ex-isu) is a very good athlete.

Hope Drew can go as Brock is not a good matchup vs big quick RU guards.
Visions of Harper taking Brock into the paint is troubling.
Find a way, Hawks!
We need Payton and Josh to shoot out of their minds to get this one.

Gotta play zone.

I'm sure Payton can shut them down. He's been following Fuerbach on how to play defense. Going forward he'll be taking all of the top defensive assignments.

Fun fact: Lathan Sommerville is the son of one-time Hawkeye Marcellus Sommerville, who arrived at Iowa in the same recruiting class as Pierre Pierce. He only spent one year at Iowa, was redshirted against his will, and opted to leave before playing a game for the Hawkeyes. He ended up having a pretty good career at Bradley.

The most under achieving team in the league hosts another under achiever that's been abysmal on the road. This has all the makings of an entertaining matchup.

Difference being that Rutgers has high level athletes and actually plays a bit of defense and Iowa will be playing at less than full strength (not that it would have mattered much).

Gotta play zone.
Fran has this idea that this team can play man to man, I'm sure Iowa will start out in M to M and after they get down 10 or more without calling any time outs, switch to a a zone, too late to the party by then. Iowa's front line is not athletic enough to play any defense but zone, and yes Brock and Thelwell well have a tough time guarding a much taller Harper. Iowa needs to play zone to have a chance to keep the score close. I'll be super happy when Fran is no longer Iowa's head coach. Make it sooner then later....

Nothing much fun about that, honestly.

Yay... It's Iowa basketball "beatdown day". Who's excited for another road embarrassment?

I'll check the score later, maybe if we are shooting out of our a$$es and somehow keep it within 10 in the 2nd half, I'll tune in.

Otherwise.... PASS.

I have "Home Improvement" to watch on Netflix.

Doesn't Rutgers have 2 projected top 5 draft picks on their squad?

Record doesn't compute.
