I didn't count any of the guys Iowa signed out of high school and placed at JUCO or got back again after JUCO. That group would include Nixon, Spievey, Solomon, and Greene even though he didn't actually play JUCO football. Probably someone else I'm forgetting.

Ask you neighbor...if Frost is such a fantastic recruiter... why does he have to dip into IWCC?

Frost is only doing this to quickly flip the roster. He isn't going to live off Juco as he will recruit HS with occasional Juco's. Most every school plucks from those ranks.

That's not the way this guy seems to view it..

That sounds more like a long term plan than a short term fix.

That does make a difference. Here are the Juco's off that the top of my head that came in on scholly. Current=Sargent, Nixon Past 15 year Nathan Chandler, Marshal Yanda, Damon Powell, Bryan Gattas, and Amari Spievey. I'm sure I'm missing some too.

Technically, Clinton Solomon and Shonn Greene were Jucos as well, if you want to be technical about it.

Was looking at Iowa Western football roster and found some interesting things:

• First, didn't realize CJ Beathards bro is there? What? Clay Beathard!
• Ahead of him is Kai Locksley, a former TX commit who had offers from almost all SEC schools including Bama, wow..
• In the backfield is T'Boy White, a kid from Iowa I thought was on our radar at some point, maybe a grayshirt/PWO.
• DL Chester Graves, a one time Ole Miss commit is definitely on Iowa's radar
• DL Ja'Chi Baker, 6'7 is there too, a one time Wyoming commit who Iowa was looking at
• OL Tre Johnson, a Miami commit out of high school
• LB Michael Scott, ISU offer and a bunch of others including P5 and non P5
• Didn't see former Iowa player Cam Harrell listed, I thought he was going there...

May be others but safe to say this school is loaded with talent!

I wish NIACC had the gumption to keep their football program going. I lived near there and thought the coach had a chance to make it a major juco power.

I see in Blair's post why he didn't include Spievey, Yanda should have been included and splitting hairs on Nathan Chandler he came in 2002 left 2003

I think overall the Iowa schools should start getting even more talent. The old conference had a rule that only 19 out of state players could play per team. I think over the last year or so they can have unlimited players play now. I also think that Nebraska would have an inside track to IWCC just due to proximity.

Good call on that coach, he did go on to create a powerhouse.
