Scrappy effort by the hawks in the 4th quarter. Fortunately, this game has little relevance on seeding for Iowa.
How can they grant the timeout if nobody has the ball? Isn’t that a loose ball? She was turning to call it as the ball hit her

iowa isn’t particularly quick. They rely on tempo to get open shots. Pretty much just like Fran.
In some aspects I agree, However they continually throughout the season attempt very low percentage post feeds in the half court offense. This years team has been a helluva pleasant surprise, I just wish they could figure out valuing the ball.
What was with the Rutgers player going over Marshall's back and laying on the floor playing dead until the trainer and coach gets there and then in a split second jumps to her feet and runs to the bench. Bush league stuff.
The Iowa women basketball team is absolutely the worst passing team, year in year out, in the BIG. They are terrible at basic decision making with the ball and passing the ball. Such a fundamental part of the game............
No, American players don't flop that way. And Rutgers is good at soccer.
Should still be able to host NCAA’s. Their RPI before today was 8.
I think the Iowa women's program develops players just fine.

Life on the road can suck. The senior guards have carried the team in most games but not today. Rutgers had nearly twice the shots in the first half, amazing we were still in it. Turnovers by our seniors and a poor rebounding performance and we still go to overtime against a 20 win team on the road. Good signs Maggie got her shot back, Doyle and Mac finished the game playing much better than 1st half. We would have won this game at home or on a neutral court. Rutgers plays way better at home.

Hmm... and they lead conference in assists. Man that's hard to do when you can't pass.
Do they turn it over a lot? yeah, i'd agree with that.... but I wouldn't call them worse passing team.
Assists are from sharing the ball and yes passing to a teammate so maybe I stated a bit too strongly. But, they also turn the ball over way too much making bad decisions on risky passes, JMO. I guess I value a possession and at least getting a shot more than other folks.
